Long cranking and blue smoke when warm
Glow plugs are working and I found no issues with those. Also a faulty plug should report an error/DTC I think. No, I meant the valve cover is Febi. Sorry for the mislead.

Long cranking and blue smoke when warm
I have an update on the topic. Unfortunately I found out that there is oil in the piston chamber. I’ve bought a camera and had a look inside the chamber. Also made a measurement on the compression and it is perfect. Could it be from the cylinder head cover? I installed a Febi and not an original one. Any ideas?

Long cranking and blue smoke when warm
Hello to everyone! I'm owning a 2013 Octavia Rs 2.0TDI with the famous CUN engine. Preveously I had oil consmption issues with the car 1l/700km. In September I've rebuilt the engine and successfully reduced the consumption not to zero but I can live with the current state. Parts I`ve changed: Piston rings refurbished cylinder (all the parts) refurbished turbo crankshaft bearings con rod bearings all the sealings etc. So I changed quite a lot. And done it for myself. Previously I did the same on my old car 2010 Farbia Rs CAV (I loved that car). My current issue is that ONLY on cold start I have start up issues. Sometimes long cranking (5-7sec, starter motor hase been changed recently) or starts right up but with rought idle. After a few segonds the rought ide is gone and runs perfectly. I took all 4 injectors to a specialist who made measrements on them and they are perfect. I`ve tried to change the fuel brands and nothing changed, also tried with premium fuel (I live in Hungray so I tried Shell and MOL but also tried with fuels from different cuntry). During the assembly of the engie I tested the glow plugs and all four looked to be good. Tested with 12V and all of them were glowing. I have no DTC unfortunately. Air and coolant temperatur sensors are showing mostly the same no big differences between them (below 10 degree Celsius differences). Rail pressure on Ignition On is 1520kPa (15,2bar) should it be higher or lower? While driving I can`t feel and issues even if I floor it no error or interruption. Second issue or anomaly is when the engine warms up somewhere around 60-70°C starts to smoke blue. This blue smoke is present only until I give him a few hard pushes, no flooring it just accelerating a bit harder. I read that a more dense fuel-air mixture can cause this issue and not only oil getting burned. And as I said after a few acceleretions the smoke is gone totally. Unfortunately the DPF was removed by the previous owner and a correct software modification was also done. Does anyone know what else should I check or maybe has a solution? Thanks for the help in advnace! Have a nice day and happy holiday for all! :)

P0441 & probably misfire around 3000rpm (1.4tsi VRS CAVE)
Thank you for the answer, totally agree with the second part I just wanted to make sure that I`m replacing the correct parts and not just changing parts randomly and useless. Last year I changed the pistons and it seems that the plugs & coils should have been changed as well.

P0441 & probably misfire around 3000rpm (1.4tsi VRS CAVE)
Hello everyone! I`ve recently read out the error codes on my 2010 VRS because of misfires around 3000 rpm while pushing hard. The surprise is that no misfires were reported only P0441 which I asume will disappear after I change the fuel tank breather valve. But my main issue is the misfire. Probably if I would replace the spark plugs and coil packs the problem would be solved but this issue is present mostly when I the gear box switches from 7th speed to 5th or 6th automatically. I tried to switch manually gears from 5th to 3rd (inside city) floored it and nothing happened I mean it was running perfectly without any misfire. I am thinking about what if the plugs and coils are ok and something else has problems does anyone know what changes around 3000rpm (+-200) for example ignition timing? Thank you for the help in advance!

Mechatronic oil leak and fault code P17BF
You might need some help to put in place the bottom of the kit and to tighten the screws but it is possible.

Mechatronic oil leak and fault code P17BF
You can demount the mechatronic without removing the transmission but its quite tricky. Also need a tool: Brilliant Tools DSG Entriegelungswerkzeug | Contorion.at I had the same issue and bought the kinergo repair kit. Changed it a year ago still runs without any problem.

MAHLE pistons built in by factory?
The main idea would be to use 5W-40 instead of 5W-30 and to buy the best quality of fuel? I am using Motul 8100 Xclean+ 5W30 (VW 504 00) and fuel MOL EVO 100

MAHLE pistons built in by factory?
Sure I`ve bought the Kolbenschimt pistons and now waiting to be reassembled, also had the cylinder head reconditioned with 16 new valves etc. This was the incident which I had 😅 I have never seen something like this at first I thought one of the pistons died but not. The car has 200k km (124k miles) in it with the stock pistons I think it is not bad. But now it will be better I can`t wait.

MAHLE pistons built in by factory?
To be honest i have no idea if the conrods are stock or not. I don`t want to increase the power I just want the car to be reliable. I case these are the weak pistons then i would change them but until I´m not sure I dont´t want to order the new ones.

MAHLE pistons built in by factory?
Hello everyone! Last week i had an incident with my car (2010 Rs Fabia) at one time only 3 cylinders were working i stopped the car on the highway asked for help and took the car home. Started to disassemble the engine and turned out that the pistons are MAHLE 76L92. What do you think these are the ones built in by the factory or the previous owner changed them?
