  1. Hey thanks for the feedback. The flywheel installed is a new one but I suppose that the shop made the assumption many parts are interchangeable btw a Skoda and Passat. I've just made an order from Skoda-parts and verified with them my VIN, paid and hope to receive it soon.
  2. Is there a way that i can share the VCDS scan log embedded in the thread there and not as attachment?
  3. Hello all, I have a 2009 Skoda Superb 1.8TSI. It runs on a 7-speed DSG. Lately due to a leak in air intake system, sent to a workshop that diagnosed the flywheel seal is leaking. Proceeded to replace the seal and shop also replaced the flywheel (possibly the issue here?) that had large freeplay. The replaced flywheel is from a Passat. Since then, the drive has been experiencing abnormal driving, from jerks, knocks then to bangs between gears. It struggled most with bangs on up slopes. Shop resetted the basic settings (Group 60 Auto Trans: 4,0,0 > 254,0,0) several times. After each reset, it ran well for a mere 15km and the issue came back. VCDS scan threw 3 fault codes under Auto Trans. I've been reading that the flywheel teeth count maybe the issue. Following from there, i read that the Transmission Input Speed (743/min) and Engine Speed (761/min) should match when average, else it would mean the flywheel teeth count is not correct. Could anyone verify this as I need to take the next step if a proper flywheel with the correct teeth count should be the way to go ? Or any suggestion on the possible causes to the knocks and bangs? Thank you :) Log-SNL722X-TMBBB93T399038280-146200km-90844mi.txt
  4. I have a SMF BOSCH Battery - 575.065. I doubt mine has the stop start technology. I will read more about the benefits of the EFB ones. Appreciated.
  5. I have a 2009 Superb 1.8TSI. It's about time to replace the battery. Anyone knows if it should run on a lead-acid or AGM battery, assuming that year production would not have the start stop system? thank you.
  6. Similar issue with the larger hatch glass panel not opening. Have applied Greenliner1's approach with pasting a soft tab, it worked and connected with the switch to give the 'all door locked' brake flash. I want a more permanent solution so would replacing this control unit <https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/3t0959121a-control-unit-skoda-41252.html> be the way to go? The aforementioned microswitch clicked in mine but the black plastic spring tab seemed to be a bit farther than i like, is there an adjustment tolerance there to make before a replacement unit is made?
