  1. Yes mine was parked in the sun when it happened. It has had clearance since then but its not been as hot as that day.
  2. I've had my Superb Sportline for a month and it's been great so far, however I parked on a slight incline going across the car today which tilted it down towards the drivers side. When I returned to my car I opened the front passenger door and heard a slight scraping noise. I realised it was the door catching the bonnet leaving a small chip on the paint. It seemed whatever clearance the door normally had on the flat disappeared with the weight distribution / gravity effect changing from the slope. I've checked the bonnet was shut fully and square which it was. Are the doors easily adjustable - it just needs to move a a couple of mm. Is this something that has happened over time do you think or will it always have been like that? The drivers side seems to have a couple of mm more clearance from the bonnet. Still under used approved warranty so will need to get them to sort it.
  3. Thanks for the replies, I've had no issues with the acc it seems to work fine, I think it was an oversight by them in not orderering the acc cover as well as the grille and maybe the sales guy is just trying to see if they can get away with not having to bother with it. Unless it has to be calibrated again after fitting a new cover and they are trying to avoid that.
  4. So definitely just a plastic cover then. Maybe I'll show them this guide they can't argue with that.
  5. Hi I have just got a used approved Superb Sportline 2.0 tsi 220, when I went to collect it from the dealer they realised either someone had reversed into it or it had been manouvered into the back of someone whilst they had it in for service/ MOT. The front grille had split and you could see a mark where the impact was on the acc cover (at that point I thought the ACC cover was just part of the grille). They were mega apologetic and promised to sort it as it was not there when I agreed to buy the car . They told me the grille was ordered, collected the car from my house and swapped it and dropped it off with my wife. When I got home I realised the grille was done but the bit in the middle still had the mark on (just bad enough to be annoying) - which I then realised was the cover for the acc sensor. They had told me it was just one piece at the time. I've questioned why it was left but the initial response was that as it is part of the acc they can't paint it or refurb it (Why would I want that - change it cheap skates). I've gone back to them and said it just looks like a plastic cover so why can't it be changed. Before I go full mental at them thought I better check what they are saying is nonsense. The ACC cover is essentially just a plastic cover that can be changed easily isn't it? The ACC works fine by the way. Thanks
  6. Hi from Northampton, I've got myself a 2018 Superb 2.0 tsi 220 and thought there could be a lot of helpful stuff on here. Thanks to all who contribute all the useful info on the various topics. My wife worked at VW Financial Services so I was able to get onto their company car scheme so had a good few VAG cars, but now ended due to her giving up work to become mum so now had to buy one. Really happy so far.
