Fault codes P256300 and P029900
Thanks everyone! so I was driving it long distances so regen should have been happening . Bought a VCDS Scanned: mileage 195320km - 121366 miles (does this show how long the fault has been there?) 7286 Turbocharger Boost Control Position Sensor circuit p2563 oo [175] Implausible signal Fault frequency 9 mileage 195132 no other faults. Haven’t the option to force a regen whilst standing (why is that I’d prefer to try this) - but have the option to do whist driving. so tried to do this Went for drive with my partner, to monitor soot levels and Tried to do a forced regen whilst driving, I couldn’t get it to work . Coil and engine light were still on when we tried. Should I have cleared them? Followed instructions from wiki but got confused when it said to enter new value of 1 (came up saying something about hexadecimal number and not sure the value I entered was right - I put in 00 01) Regen didn’t happen as Exhaust temps stayed around 3/400•c Calculated soot stayed at around 24 Measured soot went from around -1 to +2 Any suggestions what best to do now? About forcing a regen / what else to try! My partner found this Many thanks!

Fault codes P256300 and P029900
They didn’t tell me the soot figures… Have tried to get the dealer to fix but they are telling me that they have ceased trading and so I’m stuck with a crap car and not sure what to do about it. would a VCDS give me more codes/info - why are they so vague?

Fault codes P256300 and P029900
Mileage is around 121,000 and it comes with service/ maintenance history which all looks ok. Don’t know anything about its prev usage as I’ve only just got it. Garage says the soot levels were high and no other codes came up to give any other indication of what’s wrong. They says it the symptom of another problem. A forced regeneration didn’t work (they said because there wasn’t enough fuel in it although there was a quarter tank) they put dpf treatment in fuel and told me to go for a drive - but the engine management light keeps coming on and it repeatedly goes into limp mode still (coil warning light flashing). Will other garages have better diagnostics that might tell more? I was wondering if it’s worth getting a VDCS ?

Fault codes P256300 and P029900
Skoda Fabia 1.6 tdi 2011 bought second hand and had it 5 weeks before these codes have come up. When I took it to a garage to get it checked they tried to do a Forced regeneration and it didn’t work - maybe too clogged up? Any advice on what to do now
