  1. EGR valve issue, again 🤷 Delete an option? D
  2. It's cursed I tell you 😂 In the end I dropped into the local VW specialist who has a good reputation from pretty much everyone I've spoken to. Anyway picked it up earlier, drove 100 yds and the oil light started flashing and beeping!! 😁😁 Turned round and drove back, now waiting to see what they come up with. 🤷 If had the money I'd like to do something like they do on tv shows and blow it up or push into the Grand Canyon or some other exciting ending for the car 😂 D
  3. Just another quick one. Anyone know how to remove bottom part of air filter housing? I can remove lid and filter but not bottom section. Appears to have bolt on right front , some sort of rubber clip on left , but also appears to be held on the underside somehow. Any ideas? Might make my life a bit easier removimg the OPS. D
  4. Normally closed says Mr Google 🤷 Only a tenner, so bght it. Spent £35 in total so worth a go , if not I'll get garage to do it. Thanks for all your help , let you know how I get on. D
  5. Just been out to car and I reckon i can do it by feel from over the engine. Just have to remove air ducting to give me some room. Already did it once today in order to locate the sensor. D
  6. All I'm doing is comparing numbers from Autodoc with no s on amazon. I'm after a delivery because my van is knackered as well and I'm in process of getting new one so no transport currently 😐 D
  7. Right Ok , might buy both sets then. Just seen an OPS on amazon , says it's normally closed type. Is that correct for mine? All the OE no.s seem to match. D
  8. Looking at the diagram , is it only 2 Trx bolts to remove bracket? Just remembered I have a torque wrench so might order some trx bits to have a go. D
  9. Did you manage to remove brackets from above , working over the engine? D
  10. Thanks all for the help . I found it , however it is at the back and beyond my capabilities and tools. Have correct ring spanner but as mentioned above looks like that bracket has to come off first. I'll book in with guy who made the OPS suggestion and see how it goes. Probably £200 job? D
  11. Great picture! Thankyou! Briefly I have code P046C , flashing glow plug and continuous engine light. I know it all refers to EGR etc but I've already had done : Turbo actuator fitted amd set up by Skoda. EGR Valve replaced. EGR sensor replaced. Spent atound £1700 trying to sort it and then I get the current code. As a last resort yesterday I stopped by a VW / Audi workshop. Spoke to guy and as soon as i mentioned symptoms and code he said OPS . Apparently it can fool the EMS into throwing up the EGR code. So given it seems a relatively cheap fix I thought I'd give ot one more shot before biting the bullet and reverting back to a small petrol car. Would be a shame as the Mrs loves the Fabia and apart from this annoying problem it's a cracking little car. I'm not a mechanic and what's frustrating is no one ever seems to be able to say the problem is THIS or THAT and I'm at the limit of throwing more money at it. D
  12. So were there 2 different OPS s ? Or was the other guy changed not what he thought?
  13. That sounds about right for my car , everything has been in the worse possible place to get to. Will have a look today to see if it's DIYable . Thankyou D
  14. Can't tell from 1st and 2nd seems different engine. Thanks tho. D
  15. Hi all , just before I throw in the towel on my fabia been told to try one last thing. I want to replace the oil pressure sensor but don't know it's location. It's Fabia scout 1.6tdi 2011. Any help much appreciated. D
