I'll get the coupling checked out and ask about mesh / filter in Haldex. Has anyone ever used additive in rear diff to quiten it ?

From service history Haldex has been serviced 3 times so far.

Hi Guys, I'm looking at purchasing a 2015 Octavia Scout 1.8 TSI. It's done 160,000 Kms (100,000) miles and most of the service history is from main agent here. Only thing worrying me is there is a definite noise from rear when you are off acceleration, coasting or decelerating. I guess it could be wheel bearing but it's not from a specific corner so I'm thinking rear diff. Are they always a bit noisy and at this mileage or will it need replacing costing quite a sizeable amount as Skoda parts in NZ are hard to come by and prices high.

Hello all, I just joined up as looking at purchasing an Octavia Scout 1.8 TSI afte moving to NZ from U.K. I've had VAG cars for last 27 years as company cars in UK so fairly well versed in them and love the Skoda make.
