  1. Hi Pete, Thanks for asking. The red alarm LEDs' flash in the interior after the alarm has been set. The alarm no longer sounds if I open the windows and reach in to try and set alarm off. I don't have the skills to fit the alarm myself - I understand the electronic horn is situated under the front offside wheel arch on my Skoda model. I was hoping to purchase a new OEM electronic alarm unit which my local village garage said they would fit.
  2. Hi, I was surprised to learn that the car horn has a limited lifespan of approximately 5 years (owner's manual). Unfortunately I don't have the funds to pay the quoted price to purchase an alarm from a Skoda dealer at £226.56 for the part or £394.56. I have asked for the part number but for obvious reasons Skoda dealers are not prepared too share this information. I have searched online and found d https://www.autodoc.co.uk/jp-group/8178191 Has anyone found a third party manufacturer/OEM for the correct car alarm for a Skoda Octavia Se MPI hatchback 2011. Is there a genuine Skoda manual online to look up the correct part numbers? Thanks in advance.
