Hi all! Im currently in the process of swapping my fabia mk1 pd100 to a six speed gearbox and had multiple questions for some of the more experienced people. so, not long after buying a lovely 2006 fabia I experienced some whining from the gearbox so had a reconned 5 speed gearbox put in which after around 2,000 miles also started whining in a similar fashion. first of all i believe this to be mostly down to my driving/ the car already having a light map on which these 5 speeds just cant seem to handle so im looking at swapping it to a 6 speed 02m gearbox. now ive acquired a brand new flywheel (part number:415 0654 10) that was going in my brothers vrs mk1 fabia but is now destined for use in this swap. His fabia has a BLT engine with a JNC 6 speed gearbox. I can only find suitable gearboxes with the HDS code as opposed to the JNC code so my question would be does anyone know if the HDS gearbox will work 1:in this swap( I think it should) and 2: with this flywheel and also will it work with this clutch :https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/sachs-clutch-kit-641441610. from what I can read on these forums im sure any of the 02m 6 speeds from a fabia including the HDS and the JNC will work in this swap aslong as i acquire the correct clutch and flywheel kit. is this correct?
