  1. Hi, ive ended up just buying a second hand complete unit, getting it fitted in the next week or so, hopefully sorts it.
  2. Hi all, A newbie here, but was recommended by a lorry driver yesterday, so here goes:- I've had my skoda superb for 6 years and hardly any problems at all, but 2 months ago the sat nav screen, radio etc more or less stopped working., but comes on for a second or two but then goes off again. I had a new battery fitted, as was long overdue which meant it started coming on for 5-6 seconds, but still no joy. I didnt necessarily try this as a fix, but as was getting a battery anyway held fire in case this helped. I went into a skoda dealer for a quick chat but he recommended going to a scrapper or even trying an audio elec (not auto elec). I've since had advice to try a factory reset, but not sure how to do that. If I can't try the factory reset I'm thinking of trying a local company (Runcorn) who advertise as an audio as well as an auto electrician as dont want to get passed from one to another, so may try the auto/audio electrician. I'm probably going to keep it for another 18months to 2 years, so worth paying £1-200, if required. Any thoughts, advice or recommendations?
