  1. I do usually, though often they're just dangling as I have a keyring I hold in my teeth (don't tell my dentist!!), I did wonder if it was the fob that may be getting worn and so a slight knock would press the button and activate it.
  2. Hi there, it's literally a 10 second walk; it has locked when I've not gone immediately, which I'm fine with as I know it's a safety feature, but it can lock itself while I've actually got the doors open!
  3. Hi there, yes I generally unlock it just before I walk to it as my hands are full on a work day, it's only a 5m walk from the house. The key does have the metal blade for the ignition but I don't put that in until I'm sat in the driver's seat in case I get locked out! All the doors are set to open on unlock - I've not actually tried pressing the button twice.... but I will next time I go out to it! Thanks for that 😁
  4. Hi all, I have a 2020 Fabia, it's the first car I've had with central locking, but I keep having a problem with mine locking itself! It doesn't do it all the time, but it is starting to drive me mad! I load my car up for work in a morning, I press the button on the key fob and it opens the car, but sometimes it'll lock whilst I've got the boot open; sometimes it'll lock whilst the rear door is open, sometimes it locks before I've even walked to it, sometimes it's fine! I know this is better than it unlocking itself (thankfully it's not started doing that yet!), but it is inconvenient - there doesn't seem to be any pattern to it, either. I have to make sure the keys are on me and never left on the car seat or anything, just in case I lock myself out. I just wondered if anyone had any advice, please? My neighbour suggested it might be to do with some settings or something, however I'm not sure, as there's no pattern to it. I have changed the battery in the key fob and it hasn't made any difference. Neither has shouting at the car to stop flaming locking itself! Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!
  5. Hi all, newbie here! I have an 05 plate 1.2ltr Fabia, just done 90k miles, and I've noticed the last couple of months, when I get to 40mph and put her into 4th, there is a vibration. I took her to the garage and they recommended firstly getting the front wheels rebalanced. I did this, but it's not made any difference (the guy who rebalanced them said they were only out by a small margin and he normally wouldn't have bothered adjusting them). I've been on a motorway run today, and notice that once the vibration starts at 40mph, it continues, but only when I'm pressing on the accelerator. If I ease off, the vibration eases, too. If I press harder on the accelerator the vibration seems to be more pronounced. I'm just wondering if any of you might have any idea what it could be?? (Obviously another trip to the garage is on the list...) Many thanks!
