Sorry for the long post. I am a long time lurker, first time poster. I have a VRS 2016 with 160k on the clock. Not had any issues until a number of months ago the fuel consumption went down significantly. Now only getting 31mpg. And then the dpf light started coming on. But not very often and only about 2hrs into a long journey. Hence why I didn’t see it very often. Only do long journeys and I feel like any garage I’ve been to just ignores me and says I’m doing too many short journeys. The shortest journeys I do are 20 miles on duel carriageways. Anyway. So far I’ve been told just to change the dpf but that clearly is just patching the issue and not solving it and is stupidly expensive. the car is regening every journey pretty much. Just wondering if anyway has had something similar or has any ideas? I have an idea of what might be the issue but I am just not sure and am sick I’m of being treated like an idiot. I’m no expert but I do have some clue ha ha. appreciate any advice. cheers
