Hi We have a Superb Mk11 1.8 4x4 TSI Petrol Estate and it's been using a crazy amount of oil recently (5w 30). So much so, at one point I was filling up the oil every other day (it seems to have settled on about once or twice a week). Someone suggested we get a compression test done at a garage, which we did, and the garage said it was all within range (95 bar I think he said). The garage owner simply said these particular models just use a lot of oil, but there's no obvious leak, which means that it must be seaping through one or more of the rings? Has anyone else had this problem as it's costing a fortune in oil? Any solutions other than to use a slightly thicker oil? TIA
