Thanks AyB, that's really helpful. We have a small electric car for short trips around town. The Superb would be for long hauls. Were you seeing more like 35mpg on motorways when not being 'enthusiastic'?

Hello all I'm new here, UK-based, looking for a new family wagon to replace our long-term and much loved Ford S-Max with something a bit larger than the certrificate of destruction. I have a long list of demands from the family - must be a Superb Mk3 estate, L&K, petrol 4x4 with pale interior, a sunroof and not white or red. From my point of view, no accidents, FSH and up to 60000 miles would be good. If anyone knows of somebody who has one and might be thinking of selling please let me know.
