  1. Thanks for your comments. I've written to Skoda customer services to see what they have to say. I will post their response.
  2. Thank you for your answer. The retailer suggested this but we are concerned the fastenings would damage the leather seats. We are using extra bungies but would have preferred the fastenings to work correctly without damaging the seats. Thank you again for your response.
  3. When the rear seats in year 21 karoq are raised up the fastening strap that is supposed to secure the seats to the front seats head rest will not pull out more than a couple of inches. The strap is far to tight to pull the fastening and connect it to the front head rest as shown page 38 in the manual. I have followed the fastening and the end of it lives at the bottom of the seats and there appears to be in a slip cover which contains quite a bit of the fastening strap the end of the strap is hooked at the side. The strap on the hook can be taken off. Has anyone had the fastening strap adjusted so it can be clipped to the front seats headrests? I have been advised by the retailer they don't know how to adjust the fastening strap. I don't believe this and would be grateful for any advice.
  4. Thank you for your response. I will check if there is a UK issue for the travel assist. Fingers crossed sat nav updates will take place. If not I will contact the retailer.
  5. Hi Please can you confirm what software version my 2020 (70) karoq should have? The settings shows version 306 and navigation as 22.10. I have attached a screenshot. I purchased the car in July this year and was advised all software updates would be done. But I've read somewhere the latest version should be 320. Can anyone confirm this please and if I should return to the Skoda retailer for any updates? Thanks.
  6. Hi. I've just found an article published by Skoda in June 2020 that explains how my car is connecting. Apparently my car has the mib3 version of Columbus. It has an e-sim and is always connected to the internet and the is data provided by Skoda. The Skoda connect is an app you can set up to enable you to personalise your infotainment information. My car also has wireless smartlink. I have tested it and I can link my android phone wirelessly to the infotainment system and work my apps without using a cable. The cable is just for charging. So unless I want the extra info provided by Skoda connect, by paying an annual subscription to Skoda connect, I still have internet connectivity and a wireless link to my phone. It's took me ages to find this information. The link to the article is below. https://www.skoda.co.uk/news/details/karoq-kodiaq-and-superb-new-generation-skoda-infotainment
  7. Thank you for your replies.
  8. I was told that the connection would be by cable but my phone is connecting by Bluetooth wirekessly. I'm confused as to how I am connecting to the internet. Is it via esim and do I need connect and infotainment annual subscription to access the sat nav etc. I'm not sure what the same person has set me up with. And when I go into Skoda shop it shows that connect and infotainment have expired. Any ideas on how I find out how I'm connecting to the internet?
  9. Just bought a used Skoda karoq edition 1.5 tsi. Just getting used to infotainment. Columbus. How do I check if my smartphone, pixel 4a is connecting wirelessly?
