  1. Hi all, I've been referencing your forum for about a month now for working on my 2006 1.9TDi 1z3 Octy in black, and figured it'd make it much easier if I actually joined in. A bit of background - Finally passed my driving in March and killed my first car (don't ask 😂) before picking up a cheap but mechanically sound Octavia. Had the car near 2 months now and I'm in love with it. Bodywork is quite tatty, but everything that needs to work works. I have high hopes for getting this car up to Stage2 in future, but right now just want to get smaller things done. And a bit of background for the car: Name is Puj , naturally coming from the reg Complete Oil service, 5 point checks, battery test and filters check following purchase. Control arm and drop-link replaced (Front Passenger-side) following some issues New tyres Swapped alloys out for 16" BBS rx220s Replaced mirror-indicator casing with black-tinted ones (don't light up when unlocked as no bulb) Stage1 Remap following go-ahead from Mechanic (140bhp | 320NM) Has a poorly installed and painted VRS rear spoiler from previous owner Many of you will probably scold me for going straight for a remap, but hey-ho you live and learn. I will be on here a fair bit going forward, and will be needing the advice of those that know more about what they're doing. Any pointers or tips for things to check or minor changes that have big effect are very much welcomed. Hope to speak to you all a bit more and get this first little project off the ground! Cheers
