  1. Maybe because, if you see two lights then you know for sure it's not a motorbike. If you only see one light then you're not so sure. That can be important information when you're driving in conditions where all you can see is the the fog light. Also, lighting doesn't work like that. Having two lights doesn't mean you have double the brightness. Therefore, having a second light won't blind you twice as much. And most importantly, if you are getting blinded by fog lights then that is probably an indicator that you're driving too close to the car in front. If the fog lights ever appear brighter than normal tail lights on a non-foggy day then you're probably driving too close. Of course if traffic is moving much slower then this doesn't hold true but then getting blinded by fog lights when you're crawling at 5 mph in heavy traffic isn't exactly the same dangerous situation as when you're driving along a free running dual carriage way.
  2. Fair enough but I was comparing against a mobius YouTube samples and there is a vast difference. Also, the Joovuu sample video is what they actually have on their website (https://www.joovuu-x.com/footage/). I'd assume the YouTube video would be fairly representative of the raw video otherwise they'd be shooting themselves in the foot.
  3. Looks good but the quality of the sample video didn't look that great ( ). Quality from the mobius looks a lot better:
  4. No worries, if you do find such an app then do share. The beauty of that solution is that it's completely independent of the car (in case you have multiple cars or trade in your car).
  5. Might not be possible via the integrated entertainment system but I'm sure you could find an app that would allow you to do this. Master app on a tablet/phone at the front which controls the video content on the rear screens.
  6. Well, the biggest "modification" I've done in the last few years is to install a child seat in the back. If they needed to be informed of this then I'd be very surprised.
  7. As others have mentioned, the cost is very minimal. According to the manual, a litre of AdBlue gets you around 800 to 1,200 KM range depending on the type of driving and your style of driving. At ~60p a litre, the cost is almost not even worth thinking about. The range between fill ups is so huge that even the inconvenience is really minimal. The benefits are good though as it helps reduce the tail pipe emissions. Like you say, the 190 is about equal in MPG and CO2 as the 150 but the performance difference is quite big so you can see how much of a positive improvement AdBlue makes.
  8. Yeah, the L&K version does seem fantastic value for money. You get a lot of extras. Even if you spec up the SE L Exec to the L&K version, you'll be paying a lot more. Also on the vanity front, the L&K has a few badges and embossed L&K tags dotted around the car which I think looks really nice.
  9. Fair enough, it's been a long time since I've modded a car in anyway that would need to be declared to the insurance companies so may be things have improved a lot.
  10. I thought it worked in a manual when the car was at a stop and the clutch was fully depressed. This could only be achieved if you were in neutral. As soon as you pressed the clutch to move into gear, the car would have already started. If you stopped while still in gear with the clutch pressed then it wouldn't stop the engine. Doesn't sound like this would cause a nuisance either way.
  11. If going the remap root, you'd also need to factor in hassle, headache and extra money for car insurance purposes. Many mainstream insurance companies take a very dim view of modified cars (especially ones that increase the power of the car) so the limited options and increased premium would probably quickly eat into your £2200 saving. If it wasn't declared, then you are on very shaky ground should it become apparent during an accident where they may refuse to payout at all. Central London will already be putting in place an ultra low emissions zone by 2020 where anything less than an Euro 6 compliant engine will see a heavy daily charge (but unlike the congestion charge, this would apply 24/7). I can definitely foresee extra charges being levied for vehicles with (relatively) high levels of NOx and other tailpipe emissions. Purely going on the current push for cleaner vehicles, I'm fairly certain that these would be in the 5 to 10 year time frame too.
  12. I think safety features like this should be as standard.
  13. I totally agree. The cameras would need to be upgraded to at least 1080p and must be at least 30fps. Not sure what the current cameras would be. Also, if they did double up the rear view camera, not sure that would be pointing in the right direction as that would be angled down rather than a more level view which would be needed for a rear facing accident cam. I'm sure manufacturers will jump on this in due course but for now it's wishful thinking. At least installing dash-cams into a car is not a major issue and it's relatively cheap to do.
  14. Yep, can be seen in this clip: May not seem that different but one benefit you have with this is that you can (effectively) take out the car key after starting the engine and leave the engine running. A non-KESSY Superb could work in this way too, although a standard key ignition wouldn't be that bad either.
  15. Just to play devil's advocate, my BMW has a key which needs to be inserted into the steering column but then ignition is switched on and off via a button on the dash.
