  1. Thanks for that m8, yeah can see that reasoning, obviously I do not uderstand the in and outs of VAT.
  2. One thing I forgot to mention, the reason for changing is because the wife has got troubles with both her legs and particulary her right knee, over the last couple of months or so it is gettiing worse, she has a problem getting in and out of the Kamiq, and indeed getting comfortable once inside, she prefers to travel in the back seats, i tell her that the front passenger seat has more leg room, but to no avail. Thats why I wanted to change vehicles, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the Kamiq. Stonekeeper, I paid VAT when I purchased the car. The invoice shows Vehicle Price £21,158.32 VAT @ 20% £ 4.231.67 Total £25,390 So I guess its a question of hanging on for a year or two when it shouldn't have depreciated so steadily. And thank you for your thoughts kodiagsportline
  3. Thanks for that, But I'm absolutely gutted that in some 16 months the car has gone done in sale priice by approx £3000.
  4. Now thats the sort of price ( £21000 ) I was expecting as the minimum trade in value. I know one thing, the stealers won't be getting to service the car !
  5. Winston, the car came from the Essex branch of Group 1 Skoda to the Norwich branch, I suspect it was either their demonstrator or their loan car originally. In respect of the ads that have been posted on here, these dealers seem like they want to make something in the region of £4000 profit between a trade in and then selling the vehicle on.
  6. Appreciate all your replies everyone, I forgot to mention I bought this in August 2023 with 5458 miles on the clock from a main dealer for £ 25395. Just been offered £18000 as a trade in against a 2022 Kadiaq, Now on 6657 miles, car is spotless still looks like new, cannot believe its lost so much value in less than 16 months.
  7. I own a 2023 (January) Kamiq SE L Executive 1.0 TSi 110 PS Dsg, finished in Black Pearl Magic My question is, does anyone know how much this was when new ? As its a bit of a rarity, I cannot find any for sale so that I would be able to ascertain what it might be worth. My thinking is if I had some idea how much it was new, I can roughly gauge how much it should be worth after some 15 months. Thank you
  8. I had already changed my throttle responce on mine using the app on my OBD11 a few days ago, I must say that I certainly didn't feel much improvement, this was using the infamous Norwich Nothern distributor road, where the speed limit is 70 mph on a dual carriage road with roundabouts, negotiating three roudabouts on my journey to do the weekly shop.
  9. As you can see I've got the SE Executive TSi 110 DSG, I do too notice a bit of lag when starting from a dead stop, I have to be a bit careful when pulling out especially onto a busy roundabout (D1). Nearly got "had" last week because the stop/start had cut in, thats the first time ever since I got the car last August, always make sure now its switched off. Previously had a Ateca TSi 1.4 DSG, which didn't seem to have that lag, but suppose it was because of it being a 1.4 engine. Up to now I have not noticed another "Executive" about here in the Norwich area, what makes the Executive so different from other "top of the range" Kamiqs ? I am dissapointed when I see youtube videos showing Kamiqs with their full led tail lights ( some even scrolling ) even front led indiators too, heated windscreen and power operated tail gate. You'd think using "executive" would imply something like really top of the range, Fuel economy is very good I find.
  10. Thanks for that steve, I will see what he would charge nearer the time ( January ) for my first 2 yearly service , also as I live that side of the city its good for me as well. I presume he's got a waiting area as well if need be ?
  11. Hi there, the only thing in Robinsons favour is that they can provide you with a loan car whist they have your vehicle in for any lengthy work. bit of a must when you live out in sticks, and you've got things to do. I liked when I had a Seat and Duff Morgan would collect in from your home address ( pre Covid ). I presume that Clive doesn't offer a loan car ? And does Clive have access to the full Skoda diagnostic program if need be ?
  12. Just come across this post acemcgraw, how'd you get on ? Just a thought, I notice that DASAUTO on Blue Boar Lane Norwich advertises themselves as a VAG group repairer, I have read very favourable comments on their site. https://dasauto.uk/
  13. Just had another look at these and the fitting involved 1. Very confined space to work in on Kamiq access panel for reversing lights. 2. The unit itself has to be scewed to metal. 3. Existing wiring does not have much play/give in it to work with. I note in the users comments however they do seem to do the job.
  14. looks like they use those crap rubbishy "scotchlock" connectors to make the connections, not for me
