Fyi in case anyone gets a similar issue it’s a 1.6 Diesel Fabia, Monte Carlo 2013 plate.

Thanks Guys. Been “nursing” the motor since smoking but will givenit a motorway blast to try and clear/reset DPF if that’s what it might be. Will update after a run

It’s a 1.6 Diesel engine. Engine at full operating temperature. No smoke on start up. Only after driving. Thanks for interest

Thanks, as you can likely gather im the worst kind… “a google mechanic”. Tbf to the garage they said it didn’t smoke when they had it. It was me who said blue. It’s a reputable and not a cheap garage. Where I look on google it says white smoke is coolant but the fluid level is not dropping. No obvious loss of power. Car starts fine. Idles okay. Starts fine. Lower MPG but this excessive smoke is an intermittent issue. At a loss?

Glow plugs were changed about 6 months ago. Fluid levels are stable. Will check plugs. Thanks a lot

Should also add that mpg is down since blue smoke

Garage checked head gasket. Changed oil and filter. No loss of power. Engine flushed 2 weeks ago. Full service last week but first one for 3 years. Any ideas. Any help appreciated. Garage couldn’t find anything . Not all time but most times
