teesside mate. its done me well.had her for about 4 years...never realy cost me much ,i would get another if & when i have the means.

well looks like my 52 plate vrs has died. the oil light came on last night,i topped it up & still on.after about 10 mins driving the engine started making loud rattles like a deisal engine. when i opened bonnet sounds like the top cam has gone. looks like it will have to be sold as spares as i cant afford to fix it. so its going on ebay i think. im gutted. shame cos 1 hour before my wife just get her brand new car...gggrrrr

mine did it when i 1st got it 3.5 years age , realy bad. about a year later i had the pads changed & all ok till this damn cold weather & started again...

2002 VRS 1.8t my temp gauge is up and down all over the place. i dont think its the thermostat. sensor maybe any idea or point in the correct directon

i have had my octy vrs3 years & my starter makes a grinding sound for about 1 second ofter turning the key.its done it since i got it .it only hapens a few times a week.not every time

under engine cover sat ontop of spark plugs & it does sound like a coil pack on its way out. engine cover under the cover coil pack looks like

i have just got haynes 4385 1998-2004.its not clear if it does 18t vrs? im looking for diargrams of the rear brake calipers .strip down info for sticky caliper a full manual pdf would be great

my 2002 plate is on 106K still as good as new runs well

i h ave the same octy vrs 2002.i get max round town 22mph but mostly 18mph with my heavy foot. out of town long run average 32mph aint good but a good drive.lol

ye i know. i have fitted a few over the years . but its getting done in a garage paying only (mates rates)labour. my freinds garage is nissan/datsun specialist.nice & clean garage lol.

i have a sticky brake rear caliper octavia vrs 18t 2002 cant afford new calipers but have found a twin pack repair kit(seals) from big red im fitting 2 new disks with pads next week so hope the kit comes in time.i can get it all done at the same time ref BR203843 £26.90 per axle set ( 2 caliperS plus postage) its the only place i can find the kit... i found the company on fleebay.. and give them a call http://www.biggred.co.uk/contact.html hope this helps someone els.

same thing happend to minne.cost me £176 back in 2008 was the belt system...not an easy job to do as a DIY..
