  1. Thanks so much for this @DunDunFather. I'll sit down this evening and read it in detail. I'll probably need to pass it to someone a bit more car tech savvy but any help is grateful!
  2. Hi, all other settings that you can do via the infotainment do not seem to have changed. Come to think of it, I used to connect my mobile to the car via a usb cable to stream music and connect to the Android app (only way to connect on this car). Since the system went down and I connected the mobile to charge it, it doesn't even charge it anymore either (not sure if that's any help!). Since it's happened the tyre pressure indicator on the dash did come on one night, which was a correct message. Once I redid the pressures I obviously couldn't reset the indicator via the infotainment system so that light is constantly on the dash. I can't recall if there is an auto time change in the system but after the clocks went back in October it didn't change and I obvs can't manually do it at the moment either. The parts of the computer you can change via the lever controls at the steering wheel are all working normally too e.g. cruise control, resetting distance travelled etc. Thankfully there's been no random lights coming on or any weird gremlins occurring. I'm usually fairly good at figuring things out but this one I ain't got a clue. I'd even considered if the replacement unit was also dodgy but the chances.... I'd asked Skoda at the time if it needed a software update and they said it shouldn't and they don't usually need to do them. The I've never seen this before comment was floated... I'm sure some techy person on here can help 🤞
  3. Hi all, I'm hoping somebody can offer a few suggestions about my infotainment issue. A few months ago I turned it on and was greeted by a continuous Skoda logo slow flash of death. The system simply would not start up, it trys to and it would reboot itself every few minutes. Called into local Skoda dealer who tried all the usual reboot methods including disconnecting the battery and other known tricks. They said it would need booked in and investigated, which I haven't done yet due to cost. My local car mechanic also had a nosey and recommended replacing the infotainment head unit (5JA919604B) which we did and it did not resolve the issue so that part was returned. We're still getting the Skoda logo and nothing more. So, we're thinking it must be the software behind the infotainment head issue? The mechanic says there is another small unit to the side of the infotainment system but as he's not an autospark/had the knowledge he wasn't sure if it could be linked? For clarity, there does not appear to be any other computer issues going on, no lights or errors appearing on the dash etc. Everything seems ok apart from not being able to use the infotainment system. I am booked in with Skoda in January for my second 'free' service with them since buying the car just over a year ago and I'll mention it again but I was wondering if anyone else came across this issue and what the problem was? I'm getting tired of having no music, handsfree or even being able to change the time on my clock or reset the tyre pressure indicator!! I fear Skoda will charge me a fortune and as a single parent with little financial support blah blah blah am trying to avoid that. Any help appreciated!! Thank you so much in advance.
