  1. Wont say it is impossible, but would brake fluid also explain new spots popping up in the last month?
  2. The car was washed and cleaned about once a month usually by hand (at my parents place since they have a large yard) with cleaning products used on other cars as well (none others have any paint stripping) and the car is parked on public parking spaces around apartment building where i live. No construction work was being done this year around the parking. No car around has any sort of similar damage, and my second car (wifes) is not showing any damage either and is with us for longer.
  3. Here is another picture of the rooffrom the other side, also taken about a month and a half ago. I will try to get you an fresh photo as soon as possible, but we have a couple of rainy days ahead. https://ibb.co/wM6SJ3T (The picture is to large, so i am attaching a link)
  4. Yeah, i guess i will have to do just that after they sort this out.
  5. Hey, thanks for the feedback. Yeah they excused themselves as being 'just the middleman' but still help themselves not to comment. The dealership doesnt have the best reputstion when it comes to post sale customer service. Yes they took photos of the chipping when i took it to them.
  6. Hey, thanks for the feedback. The car has been well maintained and regulary cleaned so the bird poo shouldnt be the reason. I have also paid extra attention to it in the last month and made sure no bird droppings were on the car and new spots appeared nonetheless. Hopefully they will resolve this quickly and without complications.
  7. Hello everyone, I am new here on the forums and i own a Skoda Octavia limo. Got the car in december 2022, and it has been a great ride so far. Unfortunately, about a month ago, i noticed several spots all over the roof and a couple of the on the hood, trunk, sides and the doors. Upon closer inspection i saw that the spots are in fact paint chipping. I immediately took it to the car dealership which sold me the car. While they said they will forward the warranty claim but they also said they will likely shrug it of as "third-party influence" and try to void any warranty, claiming the car got into contact with aggresive cleaning product or something like that. As of right now i am still waiting for feedback, but my question is, has anyone had a similar thing happen to them, or maybe knows what could be the cause of paint chipping? I heard it might have been from paint not drying completely during assembly. As a side note, there were a couple of very hot weeks before the paint started chipping. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Gasper
