Superb mk2 starting problems.
Got some random ideas from work today also I'm gonna try. I'm at such a loss right now so Ill try anything. Cold start valve: When the car wont start when its warm Ill unplug it. It might send too much fuel eventhough its not needed. Also inject some starter fluid through the air system and see how the car reacts. And if the car stays on after a few sprays,

Damaged wire have been my thought also since they can expand a bit when they get warm and loose connection . But forgot to mention something, and that is if I turn off the car and then start it again after like 10sec it starts again without any problem eventhough its warm.

Hello, (some words or stuff might be wrongly translated so sorry in advance if it is misinterpreted) Sorry for a long post 😆 Would really love for some input on where I might look for why my car act like it does right now. Even if you just have a hunch it might give me an idea where to look. I have a Skoda Superb 2009 mk2 (gasoline 160bhp version) with some major problems. I really love the car so I would rather not sell or junk it but I have no idea where I should look for now. A couple of months ago I lost almost all power in the engine on my way home from work. And I limped home since I had like 1km to go so that I could check what the problem was. The next day I had a friend over to help me check what the problem was and we first thought it was just a faulty spark plug (had an error code for it) so I decided I was gonna switch them all out since it was a while since it was done. And at the same time I switched out all the ignition coils to new ones. But the engine was still misfiring so I had another friend come over and listen to it and he was certain it was the timing chain that had jumped or something. So he called "a friend of a friend" who listened to the engine and he was sure it was the chain. So he took it upon himself to switch it for me for some money and since it is nothing I really wanna do myself I agreed to it. After a few weeks he calls and tells that the car is fixed. I go over to his place and he starts the engine and it sounds really good, even better then when I first bought it. When I drove it away from there it even felt like it had gained a few bhp. But the day after the car went chaotic. 9/10 time it starts when its cold. But when its warm and I let it sit for a minute the car revs up to 1500isch rpm but then after a few sec it just stutters and dies. I called he who fixed the engine and says its not his fault it doesn't start warm and I cant blame him since I have no idea what the hell is wrong with it. So for the past few months Ive googled like mad and read all kind of problems that could cause this and changed all kind of parts in the engine. And Ive gotten some error codes from my cheap OBD reader. But they usually pops up once or twice and then never again. Here is a list of what Ive done so far. O2 sensor in engine (had an error code for it) Crankshaft sensor Camshaft sensor Massairflow meter (had a code for it briefly so swapped it. Dunno if its the correct word for it in english. But sits right after air intake and measure air flow) MAP sensor (the one before the throttle body) Throttle body (I had a code for it briefly. Never swapped it but I took it out to check for dirt but it was as new. I also took it apart to look at those plastic cog wheel thingies and they were whole. and turning them turned the metal disc just fine without hesitation) Fuel pump (This might be the culprit but I dunno. Bought a new one from autodoc) Battery (the old one was dead anyway since the car have been standing still for so long so could hardly charge it) Before turning on the car I can hear the fuel pump so its starting at least. And the starter motor starts. When the car just wont start it revs up to 400-500isch rpm but nothing happens. Once when I was out with the car briefly to see if I could trigger some error code the engine rushed a bit. like from 1100rpm to 1500rpm and the dial for how much the car uses per 10km doubled almost. Dunno if it has anything to do with it but might as well type it down also. And right now I get no error codes whatsoever. And no Freeze frame either. And the weird part it is if I let the car sit to cool down and then go out and start it, it might just start fine and run smooth as hell. Took pictures and created two pdfs. One when its just started (like 5min ago). And one when its warm. And realised when I composed them into pdfs that I forgot to see if the sun was on screen so sorry for sunburned pictures in advance ><.
