  1. So happy I saw your answer! I had the same issue… the battery was weakened by the cold whether. I could have lost significant time with this if i wouldn’t have read this… Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the confirmation!
  3. Hi! 👋 Is the AC compressor on this model having a replaceable bearing inside the pulley or do I need to change the entire compressor? It still works, but it is quite noisy and looks like is putting a lot of resistance on the belt (the pulley doesn’t spin freely). A friend told me that it’s not that serviceable and that I may need to replace the compressor. Thanks!
  4. Fixed! It wasn’t the wire, but I followed your lead and removed the starter - it was the brushes, one of the 4 was completely gone. Ordered new ones and I’ll replace tomorrow. Thanks!
  5. Thnks, I’ll check! 👍
  6. Hi there! Exactly when it was not supposed to, my Mk2 1.2 just died at startup. The EPC light in the dash remains lit and nothing happens when I turn the ignition. Initially, there was a clicking sound when turning the key, now nothing. I checked the battery and some fuses. Can anyone offer some pointers? I’d greatly appreciate some help, I can’t move it to go anywhere for a fix. I’m happy that although it happened in the worst possible moment, at least it happened right in front of my house 😃
  7. Great! Thank you so much! 🙏
  8. TMBJY16Y674124602 Thanks! I appreciate it!
  9. I’m not sure if it’s Corrida Red, that was actually my question I have seen a lot of this model around in the same color and I was hoping to get an answer from someone who knows this type of red, as the label on my car is long gone now (due probably to some leak in the trunk, from before i bought it from its previous owner). Indeed, the new red will probably not match the existing, after the 17 years. I need to cover some rust treatments on the wings and lateral panels.
  10. Hi there! I’m looking for the paint code of my red fabia 1.2 (2007). The label with the info in the trunk is long gone. I attached a photo…it is the classic red - is it the same Corrida Red (815/F3K/8T8T) I keep reding about? Thanks!
  11. Thank you so much for the amazing suggestion! Indeed, it was the best quick fix...it didn't cross my mind but opened up a new way of problem-solving thinking for me, haha 👌
  12. I wish it was that simple 😞 New tensioner and belt but the noise is still there. It did fix though the belt going a bit outside the pulley, so that’s good. I checked the other pulleys and it seems the issue comes from the AC compressor, it’s the only pulley that doesn’t spin freely and it’s actually making weird noises even when moving it by hand (video attached). I will try to remove its pulley and see if there something obvious there - if anybody knows about any common issues with it, I would appreciate the help. Thanks!🙏 IMG_1542.MOV
  13. Thank you so much! Can't wait to go in the morning and order it ...along with a new belt
  14. Hi there! I’m trying to find out what is causing the miss alignment of the belt or tensioner and also pretty loud noise on my 1.2 Fabia. As shown in the photos, the belt is a bit outside on the tensioner pulley, not sure if the pulley is in or if the belt is out. The belt seems to be in good condition although I’m not sure about the tension on it. I removed the tensioner and at first sight it seems to be fine, but honestly I’m not sure actually what I can check on it. I uploaded videos of the noise and tension and photos of the miss-alignment and tensioner. Can someone advice on what I should properly investigate? …or if somebody had the same issue, I would greatly appreciate some help. Thanks! IMG_1510.MOV IMG_1509.MOV
