    Thanks for the reply. However there is no sensor on the fuel filter which is the canister type. Even the local dealer doesn't know where the sensor is. A wiring diagram might come in handy but can't find a relevant one. Not in Haynes.

    Since the clutch was done on my 2004 SDI fabia P0183 came up. i don't know where the fuel temp sensor is but it could be a trapped wire. Also the glow plugs are not getting a feed. is this connected? any help appreciated, Cliff
