  1. Hi, I'm starting this topic because my instrument cluster has suddenly packed in. It seems to blip when i start the car and then goes back to 0 on everything. The fuel range too has changed by about 200 miles. Is it a quick fix or am I looking at an expensive fix?
  2. Hi, I have a 2008 Skoda Octavia 1.9tdi. I've owned it for a few months and I've noticed that the fuel range seems to go down fairly quickly. I've done the general things to make sure the engine is getting what it needs (new air filter, fuel filter, inflated tyres and ran diesel cleaner through it) The MPG counter says I'm averaging between 60mpg and 70mpg on a daily trip but it seems to lose quite alot of fuel. And as I encounter a slight hill it just seems to drink it. (I don't tend to drive hilly areas often, alot of motorway.) For example, I went out to do something and made a round journey of 80 miles. The range on my dash stated 380 miles of range at the start and once I got home the range stated 265 miles. I'm a very liberal driver.. I don't put my foot down too much and I try to drive economically. Is this just how my car is and the range counter's accurate or is there something possibly causing this to happen that I haven't considered. Thank you.
  3. Hi, I have a Skoda Octavia 1.9TDI 08 plate. When I first brought it, it seemed to be really good on fuel and then the "estimated miles" display seemed to go down pretty quickly, especially up hills. I've replaced the air filter, fuel filter, the cambelt and water pump.. I've even ran diesel cleaner through it. It seems to be as soon as there's any acceleration is just starts drinking fuel. I did a 50 miles journey today and used 70 miles of fuel to get there. What could be the issue?
