  1. First of all, thank you for answering me, few people did. Well done, just yesterday I called another dealer, another... more famous representative (Avia Motors), and I was told... that it means that the calibration is not done properly and to come back because everything is done step by step to ABS , from 10% to 10%, that's not how you implement something and that's it. Hope to solve this problem, because it gave me nightmares. 3 heavy months.
  2. I don't know, but it seems crazy and impossible. Well, if the Manufacturer issues a new update, and it turns out to be bad, there must be a way to restore the basic version. That's what I'm looking for in myself, because it must be possible to play the basic version. Because this is how all Skoda Octavia vRS mk3 have the brake pedal from the factory. But now they gave them some parameters so that the brake is tighter and shorter and more brutal, and it's not right. I did the update (parameterization and coding) at the representative/dealer, in my city, Exclusive Auto. The brake fluid was checked, I also did air vents, so I can tell you... everything is electronic, from the software. Maybe I seem embarrassing, but I'm shaking because I have a reason.
  3. I had the opportunity to compare with the brake pedal of a Skoda Superb, but the Skoda Octavia VRS has a much more elastic stroke, a much more comfortable pedal. It is impossible that no one noticed this. I just want to know if I will contact the representative, can the manufacturer be contacted by the dealer to provide the basic settings/previous version of the ABS on the braking side?
  4. The brake pedal is not very sensitive, in terms of sensitivity. I wouldn't have anything to get used to, in the event of an incident if I brake I don't have the safety and comfort I had in the past. I'm afraid of a long road. The brake pedal I had before was elastic, very comfortable, you could have walked for 3 days continuously.... now.. I have about 10 cm of the pedal, ok, and then it already hits a wall, as if there were a stone underneath ...and it's not normal. ABS kicks in too quickly. Standing still and pressing the brake pedal twice seems normal for those who don't know what it was like, but if you catch 3-4 traffic lights, if you need to brake often... it already becomes a pain in the sole of the foot, that's not what the pedal means very good brake.
  5. Hello, I greet you, and I'm glad to join the community here. I'm running into a problem that hasn't been giving me peace for 3 months, and I'm very desperate, any help is welcome. The series of events, I changed the battery, then on the same day, without any connection, t the brake pedal started to be a little louder. After a lot of brainstorming and guesswork, I changed the Power Brake (a wise decision), the pedal + brake pedal stroke were the same as before, instead the Hill Start Assist underwent a small change... on a straight plane with 0% incline , when I changed from Drive to Reverse... I had a lag of 3 seconds, the advantage offered by the Hill Start Assist... but it was not normal. I went to the Exclusiv Auto representative in Romania Constanta, to solve my problem, they did coding + parametrization for ABS (I mention, when I got there, the stroke of my brake pedal was like when I bought the car), when I got into the car, I felt the brake pedal was different, the pedal stroke had returned to the same as it was before the Brake Servo change, and they didn't solve the problem for which I had initially gone to the Hill Start Assist. Since then I went crazy, I went to Avia to the representative office, the guy there solved my problem with Hill Start Assist, he gave me a return to the basic settings with recognition of the angle of inclination, something like that. But what was burning was the brake pedal stroke...he looked, put on a tester, checked, everything was working perfectly. I didn't have any errors on the tester.. He recommended replacing the oil pump with an integrated vacuum, which is in the oil bath, as a suggestion. I replaced the vacuum pump for 2 days because I was going to do the overhaul anyway, change the pads on the back... So I said everything should be new. It should be mentioned that the Power Brake + Vacuum Pump are original. After changing the vacuum pump, there is a difference in the acceleration response, revs more, goes faster, better, but the stroke of the brake pedal ... it's still the same. I remain to the conclusion that that coding + ABS parameterization affected me. The stroke of my brake pedal was elastic, it was long, comfortable to walk, because I like to brake progressively, not suddenly, and now if I try to brake progressively, it immediately bites the brake ...it seemed to me that the ABS with stronger braking yes, it tends to come in earlier ... I don't even feel the pleasure of driving anymore from 3 months ago, when I was leaving I didn't even want to get out of the car, I would have slept there, I don't want to do experiments on my car, I like very much my car... What do you advise me? should I send an email to the manufacturer? I understood that it is not possible to return to the version before coding/parameterization... because they no longer have that version stored. But maybe the manufacturer has something in the database that came from the factory? I said that I won't give up no matter what I do... I want to solve it. The problem is that anyone who would go up and test the brake pedal, say... it's ok, it's very good. But I know what pedal I had in the past, a longer and firm stroke, but it was very comfortable. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I hope I didn't miss anything that wasn't mentioned. ( SKODA OCTAVIA III FACELIFT 2018, VRS, 2.0 TDI 184 HP )
