For some reason I remember there being a limit of 200 LC, but not sure for what that is for exactly. Maybe during warranty?

That looks more or less what it should be in stock, especially with a full tank. So your car is perfectly capable. 😊

It is not the start stop, though I think that has to be deactivated as well. You hold down ESC button until it says ESC Sport (about 5sec?), after that you can do LC. Then you just left foot brake, floor throttle and it will hold RPM at 4k, then just release brake. That I honestly dont know. I had mine attached next to the driver window. Also not sure since it was a long time ago, but pretty sure it wasnt 8 degrees, more like 10-15. Could be that dragy just takes a location based weather reading.

Is yours the older 280 with 6speed DSG or the newer 280 with 7speed? I have the 7speed, not sure if that makes a difference. Also mine is a hatch, so a small weight difference. Speaking of, how much fuel did you have during your dragy run? I had less than a quarter of a tank, that also makes a difference, since weight savings. Also managed to get stock dragys for you.

In your previous post you said you got 6.3 without launch control which.. seems normal? With LC that should be below 6.
-
Superb 272 Stage 1 experience
Yeah, but that was with launch control. I will have to see if I can somehow access the stock dragys, I still had my old phone when I got the logs from my friend whose dragy I used. Will look into it. Stock was 272hp and 350nm.

I did not measure any times without launch control, so not sure what my times would’ve been, but it makes a huge difference if you launch control or not. I am fairly sure the quoted times are with launch control as well. In my case factory stated was 5.5 and I got 5.18 so all good there.

I am actually not sure what that noise is, but it starts at 5k for me.. asked several mechanics and they have no clue. Havent gone to the tuner since that would be a 130km drive for me. Anyway on another note, finally got exhaust tips painted black, looks a lot better now I think. Since I cannot post here (apparently I am capped on data or w/e) here is an imgur link. https://imgur.com/a/ht8MN2i

Yeah, I guess. I havent been on dyno either, so I dont know my exact figures. Also, I am not sure but I might have a small boost leak somewhere, not sure how much it would impact the performance though, since I am already getting good times. Why I think that is because of a kind of a whistle or I am actually not sure how to best describe it, maybe like a very long beep (until it swaps gears), but it starts at around 5000 rpm and stays until redline/gear change. I was told that maybe it could be the diverter valve, but I am not sure if that could be making that noise on max boost if there is a leak.

Could be that that tyre was just bad in that size or just bad batch in general and I got unlucky. Once my Hankooks wear out, I might try 245 again, since I do like it when it is a bit wider. 10mm not that much, but every little bit makes it more aggressive. I agree with you that the stock superb is already very fast, but the feeling you get with stage1 vs stock is.. pretty significant. Especially so when you consider you dont really NEED any mods for stage1, its just extra. For me the intake is more for the sounds, love the noise it makes under boost. Intercooler is just to keep the IAT lower, car should put up with more that way. But those arent a necessity. But I guess the biggest difference you feel with stage1 is the torque.. going from 350nM to 540nM is.. a big increase. 😅 I've taken people on rides who are used to driving like 150bhp or lower cars with very low torque and they say they get dizzy and sick when I floor it. 😅 Though I do not feel sick, even when I am in the passenger seat. 🤷♂️

It might just have been the particular tyre I got and you could be fine. Yes, your car was also one of the reason why I wanted to try 245 myself. What make and model tyre are you running, just wondering?

That seems proper fast, though I do not feel like mine is very slow either. Guess TVS is just better 😅. As far as mods go, the only differences I can see are muffler delete, coil packs, GFB dv+ , which I have not done. Don't know if these would add up to such a big difference, more likely for it to be the tune. They would look stretched with a 35 profile. I guess it also comes down to the make of the specific tyre, some are more stretched than others. If I remember correctly, I actually have 2 different tyres in the pictures, I will post below. The above image is where I have 235/40/R19 Hankook Evo3-s. Here if I am not mistaken, I should have 245/40/R19 Sailun Atrezzos that I was trying out, since I read a lot of people run 245-s on their superbs. For me it did not work out, not sure if it was the tyre or the size or the combination of both, but I got vibrations in the car. When swapping over to the Hankooks later, everything was fine.

Thank you. If you mean size, I am running 235/40. Was thinking about getting 235/35, but did not want to get that low profile, so I went for a higher profile and I think the comfort should be a little bit better on the 40 as well, unless I am mistaken. I do not have DCC, standard shocks. On another note, the car goes really well with fall tones. https://imgur.com/a/smslpYI

Hmm, if your 100-200 is 10sec with pretty much same power, while mine is 13.3sec, then your 0-100 should be ~4sek, considering mine is 4.28 Though I doubt there is such a big difference in the 2 tunes that yours is over 3sec faster.. did you measure with dragy?

As I mentioned in an earlier post, TVS stage 2 is actually a stage 1 map, his mods are just extra and not required. Unless he means he got the actual stage 2 which would be stage3 in TVS tiering, but that would require a downpipe he did not mention, so it should be a stage 1 map, just in TVS tiering it is stage 2, because their stage1 is a driveability map. Also yeah, the konis seem to lower the car even more, I am still on stock shocks.

Glad to hear that TVS is as good as I was thinking it would be, sad I could not get that myself, but revo is not bad either. What is your wheel size if you are running 12mm spacers? Also do you have 0-100(0-62) and 1/4 mile times for comparison? I have not been on dyno, but I am guessing around 380bhp and 540nm for me

Superb 272 Stage 1 experience
Yea, so for pre-gpf it would be stage1 since stage2 would require a downpipe swap(but if I remember correctly revo quotes gpf stage 2 same as pre-gpf stage 2, so you might get a little bit less power, though I dont know what the reality of that is, since just saying it does not make it true). Stage 1 vs At first I wanted to get TVS stage 1(disregard the stage 2 text, they have their own "tiers" it is actually a stage 1 since no mods are required), since they offer a bit more torque and horsepower. But then the dealer close to me stopped working with TVS so my option was to get Revo, which is also good. Image for your car, just for comparison. I cannot vouch for TVS ECU on superb, but 2 of my colleagues run it on their golfs, one R and one GTI and they are very happy. Yeah, I am still happy with how the JR42's look and I have not seen anyone else with these in my country yet, let alone the town. Just running 19x8.5 ET35 should be fine, I had no rubbing whatsoever with that setup. Having 5mm more on the rear might be fine also, but since I have not tested that, I cant vouch for it. If you feel like taking the chance for a better fitment, could try going ET30 (if they even offer it).

Yes, even in stock the car is a beast. I have the revo stage 2 gpf ECU tune (but since I retain the stock downpipe, it is only stage 2 in name and actually same as stage 1 if you ask me.. I dont really consider it stage2 until the downpipe is changed). Since you have the 280 version I am guessing you have the pre gpf version? I was going to get the SL01 wheels, they look great and are 4kg lighter per corner than the ones I have, but a colleague of mine already has them and since we go to car meets and stuff together, I did not want same wheels. Anyway, here is a picture of the fitment with spacers on front and back. It is not letting me upload more to the forums directly, so here is a link. (keep in mind the rear rubs with this setup unless you figure out a way to make it not rub) https://imgur.com/a/UJzpSHQ

Thank you, I am happy with how my car looks as well. Have minor ideas/plans for next year that I want to try/carry out, to make it that tiny bit more agressive and stand out more. Yes, I am very satisfied with how the car performs, most cars that try to race me(because they think superbs are slow 😅) are left in the dust and then they get upset and speed past me when I am just doing the speed limit. As for the wheels, they are 19x8.5 ET35. For a year I drove as is, the image in my 3rd post is one without spacers. This year I decided to try out 10mm spacers, while the fitment is a lot more flush and that is what I would like to run, for me atleast it rubs on the back arch, lost a tiny bit of paint on the edge so I had to remove the rear spacers, front ones are fine and still on. Need to think of a solution for the rear, as I would like to put the spacers back, giving it the perfect fit (in my opinion).

In case anyone is interested, I also have a small clip of what the car sounds like now. The downpipe is still stock with cats and GPF in place. Not sure how much justice the video does to the sound, but while it does sound like most 2 litre engines, I feel it is a tone lower, atleast compared to other similar cars in my area with modified exhausts. I am quite fond of it. Drone is fairly minimal and I plan on getting sound deafening in the trunk next year.

Hello, Been a lurker on this forum for a while, but after tuning my superb, decided to share my experience with the GPF version, since I have not seen many of those here. Performance modifications done to the car: do88 intercooler revo cone intake GPF-back 3” exhaust with resonator delete and aftermarket backboxes revo stage 2 gpf ECU (which honestly in my eyes is a high torque stage1, I was planning on going for TVS ECU but due to circumstances that didnt pan out) TVS stage 2+ TCU Exterior mods: debadging the car painting skoda badge to match car aftermarket wheels Japan Racing JR42 eibach lowering springs Brake calipers painted red(not sure if this is a “mod” but mentioning it anyway) I now finally have dragy times after tuning so I can make the post. I cannot find stock dragy times currently, but I will look more to see if I can find them. Stock times: 0-100 accel 5.18sec 1/4 mile 13.38sec After tune: 0-100 accel 4.28sec 1/4 mile 12.47sec These results are on pump gas 98RON. All in all I am very happy with the results, can is much more agile and responsive. Gearbox feels a lot smoother and I like the shift points better as well. I was averaging around 12L/100km before on purely town driving (I have an aggressive driving style) and now it is about 13L/100km, so not that big of an increase. On highway I used to get high 6 or low 7 per 100km, after tune I got 7.5L/100km. To finish it off guess I can put some pics of the car/mods. - Superb 272 Stage 1 experience
