Hi all, I had a mk3 octavia 2.0Tdi and loved it but with the dpf issues coming from not doing the miles anymore i sold it. Brought a mazda cx-30 (very much a love hate relationship with it) but now im thinking of going back to an occy but might try the mk2 estate, i see a few L&K ones and elegance ones both with the 1.8 DSG. My question is - what do i look for? Whats a common issue? Whats a big red flag? Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, sounds like your having a bit of a mare from skoda with it. Is your car in warranty? The wifes sos used to come on then go off but its just consistently on now, weirdly the car doesnt seem to allow any over the air updates so not sure if the sos is blocking it? It looks like the module is behind the infotainment screen but not sure if its a plug and play? Needs coding? Do i need a specific one? This is why im thinking im stuck with the stealership.

Hi all, Had a 19 plate Kamiq for a year and a bit now and in the last year the SOS light comes on every time. At first it came on then would go off, now its just consistently on. Were aware it doesn't really have much function unless we roll the car etc, but is there a fix for this that doesn't involve a hefty bill from skoda? Or is it a case of bite on a piece of wood and just take it from the stealership?

Hi all, thought id finally sign up as I've googled things to do with my car and this site always seems helpful. So a bit about my car… currently have a 2014 Octavia Laurin and Klement, sort of stumbled across the car by accident while looking at a volvo but i love the car and the amount of kit on the car is bonkers…heated front and rear seats, quick clear front window, self parking, lane assist, active cruise control, keyless…the list goes on. Stuff that i honestly thought that only came in premium cars like Mercedes and Audi's etc. theres only 2 things id like to look at changing and one is apple carplay - i think ive got the year before it was out, however ive seen companies that can offer a retro fit option. the other is a usb, i dont have one!? I mean on a car that is fully loaded, i find it weird how i dont have one, anywhere? But i do have a weird media in socket, that looks abit dated and when plugged in doesn't do much apart from cut my music off bluetooth 😂 I'm guessing that i can pull the trim off and buy a usb socket and fit that.
