  1. Hi, no mine is definitely different. It’s only audible when driving and only between 15 and 40 km/h. Also it’s not as noisy and sounds more like an electrical humming. Like if there is a base noise in headphones if the aux cable is not fully in. I have an appointment at the service centre tomorrow for a slide scheduled software update. That one is to fix the travel lane assist beeping. But will ask them to see if my humming noise is something to worry about or just normal.
  2. Great tip and indeed my car shows up and requiring the 48S5 service campaign for the "S-Assistance systems camera control unit". I will call a Skoda Garage nearby and book the car in for this service campaign. Regards,
  3. Picked up my 2022 Karoq last week and now get the same beeping 2-3 times a minute. It seems that I can trigger it when I grab the wheel at certain positions. After years of older cars I was really looking forward of having an newer one with all the gizmos. Like the car in general but the constant beeping make this undriveable at the moment. I also have watched and read a lot of reviews on this car but weirdly never noticed this as a common error. Looking at the forum though it seems like a lot of people have this (Skoda, VW, Seat, Cupra) and up to the newest VW ID cars.
  4. Is it the same kind of noise. Find it a bit hard to describe it in words. Looking in the forum most others have cracking or knocking noise. But seems that ours is definitely more the „humming“ you mentioned. I had another test ride last night when the car was cold and it was completely gone. So for me it seems to be temperature related.
  5. Just went for a short drive and checked the noise again: It is unrelated to the AC - no change with AC off. It seems that it is more present in driving modes "Eco", "Normal" and "Comfort" compared to Sport. Nearly gone in Sport but audible ever so slightly It doesn't do a sound until 15km/h, loudest at 30-40km/h and gone again from 50km/h. I can only hear it on the inside but nothing out of order when sticking my head out of the window and listening at the wheel. Quite certain that this only started today after driving around for about an hour in hot weather. May retest later or tomorrow morning when car is cold to see if it is temperature related. I did take and attached a video on which this is audible. Guess I will have to go to Skoda Service soon and have it checked out. I Skoda-Karoq-My22-SteeringNoise.mov
  6. I just noticed the same on my Skoda Karoq 2022 2.0Tsi. Same situation as it only appears after driving for a good hour. Doesn’t sound bad or anything bud just a weird humming when going left or right at lowish speeds. Sound is gone when steering while at a standstill. Just got my car last week and this is the first time I noticed it. But today was also the first time we have been driving for more than an hour with it. Appreciated if anyone knows more about this or had something like this fixed previously. Or if this is even normal but then it does sound a bit weird and now I can’t unhear it 😆
  7. Thanks K, first time for me to buy a newish car so I might create a problem out of nothing here. Previous cars were always older so never something recent enough in regards to warranty I also don’t think that something is wrong with the car and I might just be a bit overcautious here. Agree that faking the service is kind of more effort than actually doing it. But it seems that somehow this and the car is not correctly registered in the Skoda system for Australia. Just don’t want to end up having to chase the dealer 3 years down because I have a warranty claim and Skoda can’t find the first service record anywhere. In regards to the service pack it states in the general description: “You can purchase a Used Car Service Pack any time after your vehicle has had its first scheduled service or 12 months from the vehicle warranty start date (whichever comes first).” My car has had its first service and is 16 months old. So from that I think it should be eligible. The T&C say this in regards to the 4 year used car pack: “5. When can a SKODA 4 Year Scheduled Service Pack be purchased? The applicable SKODA Scheduled Service Packs can be purchased for Eligible Vehicles after the first Service Schedule, or 12 months since the commencement of the SKODA New Vehicle Warranty Start Date.” The only thing where I can see my car is not eligible is because the term “Eligible Vehicles” is classified as: “means any model variant set out in the Eligible Model List that is sold by an Authorised SKODA Dealer, which have purchased either a 3 Year, 4 year, 5 Year, 7 Year, 2 Year Top-up and 4 Year Top-up §KODA Scheduled Service Packs.” For one my VW could be not an Authorised Skoda dealer - which would be weird being both the VAG. Second is the clause in the previous service packs. But that doesn’t make sense at all cause why would I need a 4 year used car service pack if I already have a 3 year one? Does anybody bought such a pack with a only 1-year old Skoda that has had its first service? Thanks.
  8. Hi all, I have just bought a great 2022 Karoq Sportline. It has 20000km on the clock and dealer said that the first service at 15000km was done. The sticker on the windshield states this too and the infotainment system also shows that next service is due in roughly 10000 or 230days. That adds up with the kilometres and the compliance date of the car being Jun 2022. Testdrive was great, got a good price with a bit of discount and bought the car. They are doing the detailing at the moment and I can pick it up next week. I was interested in getting the Skoda 4 year used car service pack. Reading the T&C all should be good and eligible. However putting the details into the online form it says I can’t buy anything. Tried a couple of other VINs for similar cars sold and nothing with MY22 seems to work though. Then called Skoda and asked about it but they couldn’t help really but said I should be eligible but can’t see any details on the car in their system. Then called a local Skoda service here and asked if they can help. But they also were not able to help further and just said I’ll get a call back from the head mechanic which nether happened. Then called the dealer (VW official dealer) where I bought the car from and asked if they can print out the service record. They said they can but yet to see it when I pick up the car. To be honest, I am a bit worried right now that something isn’t right with the first service the car had. It might just be that they did not record it on a Skoda system. Just want to make sure that the manufacture warranty is not void due to whatever reason. However the first 15000km service is really just an oil check and I do not expect that my dealer is lying to me about the first service. Has anyone else made some experiences like this? Why can’t they just have the service book with the stamps in the glove box anymore. Thanks, Chris
