  1. Hey Team, Hope you are all doing well. I have a 2013 superb mk2 3T 118TSi 7 speed DSG 125K KM (78K Miles) on the odo. I am the second owner and I dont really know if the gearbox or mech oil was ever changed by the first owner and I am aware of the TSB that causes synthetic oil breaking down mech (I live in Australia if that helps). I use the car approximately 3 to 4 times a week. Since last few months, occasionaly the car shifts to neutral when driving and the pump loses pressure. This only happens occasionally within the first 500 meters of driving in the 2nd or 3rd gear and I need to restart the car to fix the issue. Usually after that, I am good to go as long as I want even in bumper to bumper traffic. Also I have noticed that this only happens, when I approach a junction/roundabouts and I slow down the car (the DSG predicts the next gear to be lower), but I throttle up after the junction and the mech loses pressure. Another thing I have noticed is that when I connect the VCDS laptop, it does not happen (even after 50 attempts). I am assuming this laptop connecting/starting logging gives some kind of warm up time to the mechatronic unit. So I captured the logs for V401 pump pressure and I have attached the logs. The only way I was able to fault the car when connecting VCDS was to throttle really high (80+%) and it gave up. For all other driving, I have seen in VCDS logs that the presurre remains above 42 and the pump rpm around 2300 to 2700. There was also a clutch wear indicator that had popped up at 117K KM but havent seen that lately. So I have attached the clutch readings as well, but I dont know how to decode it. Dont know what to subtract from what. Also, the dates in the attached faults file are all wrong. My questions are: 1) Does the clutch still have enough life? 2) What might be happening that causes the pump to lose pressure only within the first half a kilometer and not later on? 3) I have tried the clutch/gearbox resetting using the turn on ignition, press the throttle for 20 seconds method, but the fault still occurs. Havent tried resetting anything via VCDS. 4) Would replacing the gearbox oil and/or mechatronics oil and resetting via VCDS help? 5) Is the gearbox DQ200 on this model? Really appreciate any reply as I only have 1 car and am a bit scared to drive it and the faulting frequency is slowly increasing. Now a days once every 8 to 10 drives. 2. It has 7 gears. I have a 7 gear DSG I believe. How do I get this code number? Thanks.
  3. OK Team, I had a BT OBD2 adapter lying around that I had forgotten how to use. Did some research and this is what I found. If you want me to use a different software let me know and I can do it. Thanks.
  4. I dont know why I cannot edit my first post. But to add more details, there was a good 1 month/300KM gap between both occurances if that helps. Thanks.
  5. Hey Team, Hope you are all doing great. This is my first post here. I have a Skoda Superb MK2 thats done around 130K KM in good condition and drives smooth with good pickup. In the last 1 month I see a weird problem thats occurred twice. A short distance after driving my car, the gear disengages. The first time this happened, I was crusing at a low speed (20kmph) in a residential area, when my gearbox got disengaged. I did not realise this had happened and pressing the accelarator pedal didnt do antything other than rising the engine rpm. The car had enough momentum so I was able to park it at the side of the road. Nothing solved other than a restart. The second time, I came near a road intersection and stopped. When it was my turn to go, the gear did not get engaged. I had to restart the car to get it engaged. Moving the gear handle to P/R/N/D/S did not have any affect until the engine was turned off completely and restarted. Can somebody please tell me whats happening? I dont want this to happen when overtaking for gods sake. Thanks
