  1. Hi all. I'm new here and just looking for some advice. This morning I drove through some deeper puddles on my drive to work. At the time there were no issues upon arriving. No noises, lights on dash, etc. All good. This evening when driving my car for a short drive to get food, I started hearing a faint rattling sound coming from the front of my car (looking into the engine bay, it seems to be right hand side, low down possibly). Then when driving at low speeds and breaking, there is a very high pitched squeaking noise. The pitch of the noise changes when turning my steering wheel. When reversing there is no noise at all. The rattling sound is only present when idle (it didn't seem to change if I were in park, neutral or drive). There are no warning lights on my dashboard. There is no squeaking sound whilst stationary either. Only whilst driving at lower speeds. Steering feels completely fine like normal, the car is accelerating like normal. Just a very worrying new sound coming from the engine area. If anybody has any advice or a similar experience, please let me know as I'm very worried by this and have planned to drive my car from Chester to Southampton next Friday for a holiday. I have a video but it's too large to upload on here unfortunately. Many thanks, Matt.
