    Indeed, I saw this in the manual too. But it seems a bit strange, it means there's no way to use snow chains if my rims are 7Jx17? Thanks all for your answers by the way, very helpful!

    Hello all, I have an Octavia Mk IV (4x4 TDI 2.0 147 kW) and would like to know what are the characteristics of the original wheels. Where can I find such information? I know they are 18" but appart from that, how wide are they (7, 7.5"?) what is the ET (46?), also is it 5x112 and 57.1mm? I'm having a hard time finding "official" information. I'm going to buy winter tyres (heading for 205/55R17) and with it 17" wheels. What ET value will do? According to manual it's 6.5Jx17 ET46. Thanks a lot for the information. Best, fayorome
