  1. Hi guys, brand new to Skoda ownership and have just bought a 2011 Octavia Scout, had it for around 500miles and last night I got the following code pop up. This is accompanied with the glow plug light on at all times. The vehicle is now in limp mode, with only 3k revs available. It is harder to start and also turns off with a large clunk. I have read a few forum posts relating to this error on this engine and they point to a fault in the EGR Valve which develop condensation and corrode. The weather in Aberdeen has been very wet and cold, some floods and large puddles that have been taken carefully. I have bought the Haynes manual and have a procedure to follow to test the EGR Solenoid, pins and wires to the ECU. I will be testing this tomorrow. I had it on a drive today to gather data and the EGR Duty was at 0% and the Valve duty was at 81% consistently during the drive. (I am assuming the valve is stuck open?) I am just wanting to know if this is a common issue, or have I jumped the gun with seeing EGR fault online and chasing the wrong area.
