  1. Hi all, I used to be a MB driver for a long time and an euro 5 mercedes (2014 W212 OM651) traveled up to 500 miles (about 800 kilometers) between active dpf regens. I have a Superb 2020 2.0tdi which has done 135k km (84k miles) and by using VAG DPF app I have noticed that the regen interval can be as low as 100 miles (160 km). The app states that the differential pressure on idle is about 13 mbar and while driving it is around 40 mbar. Upon heavy acceleration the value is up to 200 mbar. To my knowledge the idle value should ideally be lower than 10 mbar. The car is dealer serviced and I have also done my own services in between (vw 507 oil used so this is not the issue). Car also runs fine, seems to have all the power and no warning lights or fault codes are present (I have OBD11). No matter the driving profile (city or highway) the regen interval is between 100-125 miles (160-200km). Is this normal? THX!
  2. Hi all! I recently joined team vag after years with MB. I found out about this issue with the silicate bags and immediately took a glance to my expansion tank. No problems in the heating and the liquid is clean and pink. The tank is "two wall" design and even with a strong torch/flashlight shining through the tank I was not able to locate any bag or capsules. Tank has no label for "mit silikat". The car is Superb 2020 facelift 2.0tdi dsg 4x4 and part nubmer for the expansion tank ends with AA, yes two A letters. It seems that this model of expansion tank is also used in the latest Octavia mark 4. I found this out by looking parts online from crashed cars here in Finland. I was not able to find any additional information about this version of the tank. Is there anyone who can verify, whether this expansion tank has silicates or not? Thank you!
