It ended up all good, went back to the tuner and got the tune taken off. Taking it to a proper Vag tuner next for them to do a health check before putting a tune on it!

Hi All, I am looking at fitting a maxton design body kit to the car but want something a bit more flashy than the spoiler cap they currently sell, can anyone recommend any spoilers with pictures? Thanks in advance

Yeah completely agree, I'm a touch Naive to the world of maps and mega naive to how much damage it could potentially do the car if not correctly. Thanks for all your help guys, I'll definitely take it to a VW performance specialist to ensure it's got all the right plugs, fluids, filters etc. But I'll definitely take it as a learning point and try and stay with them whilst it's being done so I know. I mean it makes a noise, not the noise that I want but yeah!

The dealer service history is very good, it's definitely more into the extended scope. Admittedly the remap was more for my own fun rather than anything to do with a show car at the moment, in future the remap, like stage 2+, etc will be where I will be taking it and therefore will definitely put more effort into spending time researching the place to take it. In hindsight it was a mistake not taking it to a VW Specialist anyway.

To follow up with @nickytheshaftthey did not put it on a Dyno and just sent a standard map by the sounds of it.

@Rooted Thank you for this, if you can see the comment I made to @MarkyG82 the car has full dealer service history. The car has done 76000 miles roughly.

The car has full dealer service history, admittedly definitely should check spark plugs with dealer. I'm definitely going to go back to the Tuners as you're all correct it shouldn't be whistling. I'm not sure about codes tbh, I will ask them when I go back to them, as for someone changing the bhp of my car, they didn't really give me much information. I might take the advice of @nickytheshaft as I'm not entirely sure on the legitimacy of the tuners. I was unaware that you have to run 98 fuel after a remap so that's good to know. thank you!

Hi All, I have a mk3 Octavia VRS. I recently took it to a local performance tuning guy, who said that he could give me 300 bhp + pops and bangs map for £250 quid, which I thought was reasonable. However after some testing (on private roads) when I hit 120mph my EPC light comes on, and my car goes into limp mode. Not only that but when I'm driving normally with no music, I can hear a whistle from the front of the car, almost like overboost noise. Has anyone had this issue, any idea as to what it might be, and how to fix it? I was debating getting the map taken off and taking it to a proper VW map specialist like APR or R-Tech. Thanks for any help in advance.
