  1. Well they say they checked the disc and the caliper and said those are fine...Thing is, it doesen't always do it.Sometimes it works just fine and sometimes it's broken. The mechanics at the dealership are also complete idiots. There was one time when they didn't know how to put the engine cover on...
  2. Hi guys got a bit of a problem here. My dad just came home and told me his front right brake was sticking. There was actual smoke coming from the disk/pad. He got ****ed with this because 2-3 weeks ago he had the same problem, got the car booked, went to the garage and they changed the pads, checked everything and my dad paid for all this... So now it's happened again and I fear if he goes there again they'll do the exact same thing and it will break again. What do you guys think it is ?
  3. Yes, it is really boring but the interior colours are nice...but i've searched the skoda sites and got nothing except the black/black and light brown combos...
  4. A friend of mine just sent me a link on youtube with a clip of a so-called superb "individual"...the options are quite nice...it's got all the gizmos of an elegance plus the brown two-tone leather interior and dvd players in the headrests for the back passengers. So, is this really a special edition or just a new interior colour and some accesories ? Link :
  5. I hope they release some new tdi engines when they release the estate...just think that panzertank with a 170tdi is just underpowerd...well not underpowerd but also not fast
  6. Nice to hear about the twinturbo tdi...i think the superb really needs a diesel with about 200-230 bhp...great for a cruiser
  7. Mate, we're talking about a car... Now, stick a v6 diesel in that superb and sell it Skoda !
  8. that looks amazing...not that's it's good looking but it's so big and ... stylish...and HUUUUUUGE !
  9. Late 2009 sounds good...that way they will also have time to fix all the bugs that the sedan probably has(well actually i hope there are no bugs but it can't be perfect )
  10. It looks great, better than the saloon may i add...just hope they changed the taillights too...and mid 2009 sounds good too. I remember they also said that the estate will be max. 2000E more expensive..and that's not a lot of cash for how big it is
  11. Well, good news, I just checked skoda.de and the park assist w/ front and rear parking sensors is only 390euros. That means under 300quid i think...good job skoda
  12. I know this has been discussed before but what's up with the estate version? Remember the spy shots with the Octy estate that was about as long as the new model of the superb ? i searched through the forums but couldn't find anything else about it. Some say it'll be out in 2010...what do you guys think ?
  13. The bloke didn't only have a remap...I don't know exactly what mods he had on the car but I do know he had a DPF-free exhaust.Well I know it isn't worth it but I find it amazing how a 2litre diesel engine can put out so much power and torque...
  14. Well, the car is great as it is, but I was just thinking. BTW, I did see an exhaust made by milltek which (they say) removes the DPF..nothing mentioned about the ECU. Thx for the info . Later edit: I found a forum and a bloke there had his leon fr tdi custom remapped and fitted a dpf-free exhaust. The car was running 235bhp and 480nm...so..i guess it is possible the estimated price for all this was about 3k euros.
  15. Well i thought there would be problems with the ECU but i did see other cars with DPF removals... So until now, the only performance mod available for this engine is a remap. How about the CR 170 ? Will the engine's capabilites be limited by the dpf again ?
