I purchased an ex demo 59 plate Elegance 140BHP 4x4 with park assist. 3k on the clock for £20k. Sold it back to the same Chester based dealer 33 months later fo £17k straight cash. Was well happy :$$$:

Just for information. I purchased an ex demo 140bhp 4x4 Elegance with park assist for £20k in Nov 2009, with 1000 miles on the clock. I went back to the same dealer in Mar 2012 with a sob story saying I was broke and I need to sell my Yeti with 15k on the clock. I was given £17k there and then. Glad to see this forum is as active as ever. I miss it more than the YETI. Regards to all.

I got an offer of 3k less that I paid for 2.5 years of 5 star motoring. My work is drying up and with my warrantee only 6 months let to run, I snapped the dealers arm off. Now no jokes please, people used to joke about Skoda's. Kia Cee'd 4 SW (Estate) 128bhp with 7 years warrantee. Missing the SM though!

Power steering Failure - Can I still drive it?
Ray_Green replied to Grant's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
The Army never told me that. It used to take 2 of us the get an ANTAR (Tank Transporter) around the corner without power steering :( -

The Alarm + Park Assist. To the Dealer on Monday.
Ray_Green replied to Ray_Green's topic in Skoda Yeti
The Alarm has always messed about (once a month ish)hence sleeping with the keys! -
My cracking Yeti is having a pitstop on Monday for (I hope) some fine tuning: 1. The alarm seems to have a life of its own! Yes it could be under attack, but I have seen it kick off for no reason. I have to sleep with the keys in my hand so I can leap up and reset the alarm at 3 am, if needed. 2. On 2 occassions, park assist has failed, on failure during the auto parking, you loose power steering untill you swith off then restart the vehicle. Anyone else had these issues?

I will be trying Falkens at £90 per corner + fitting.

Can anyone give me an idication of how long the OEM tyres will last. It looks like I will just get 20k out of mine :(
-
I just thought the same thing!

Having had a DSG Octy, I know what you mean. Unfortunatly the DSG was not available when the cash was burning a hole in my pocket. They will change the badges for you when you next service your car, if you ask

A man of few words

I have had my SM for 2 year. I'm not a high miler (just completed 16k). Apart from a warrantee issue with the lights and a new set of wiper blades the car has not missed a beat. After a wash, my SM looks like it just left the show room. I get a constant 44 mpg. Do I have any regrets? No,the car is: FANTASTIC AND I WOULD DO IT AGAIN. WELL HAPPY

Thats what I keep telling my good lady.............

My OEM tyres are magnetic, 5 punctures in 15K :'(
-
Good luck Pete. Skoda will sort it
-
Pete, would you ask for instructions to fit an engine? Rock up to the dealer on Monday and tell him to sort out the chip and foil under warranty, it will happen. Dont let the damage get worse waiting a year.
-
This is the way forward
-
This week I had my first service at 15500 miles and mentiond the foils (59 Plate). When my SM was returned all spick & span. The dealership (Liverpool)said they had found stone chipping and they would book it in for spraying and to fit the foils under warranty.

This would be good for rough areas!

Nice one £226 here in Liverpool.

Will you be switching to Winter tyres this year?
Ray_Green replied to Allams Skoda's topic in Tyres & Wheels
Sorry, I'm slighty Off Topic. Would the winter tyres account for your MPG of is that down to the DSG or both. The DSG on my old Octy cost about 6MPG. I'm getting 44MPG driving briskley! Regards -
Me too. My SM is 2 years old now and that has only happend once. Bring on the snow
