IGnore this, I just found this excellent and comprehensive thread. I did search before asking, honest, but must have used rubbish search criteria

Hello, Is anyone able to tell me the distance that the middle rear seat has between between isofix points on a Mark 3 Superb Estate please? Basically I'm trying to figure out if there's enough room for me or my partner to fit between child seats. The distance I am after is between the centres of the isofix brackets, which on the Mark 3 Octavia is about 42cm: We are currently in a 14 day money back guarantee period on a 2017 Octavia Estate and have not yet decided if it's right for us. One of the things we ideally wanted to achieve was being able to carry an adult and 2 kids comfortably in the back. The Octavia's middle seat is not wide enough for this with our current child seats, unfortunately. When we sat in a Superb hatchback there didn't seem to be much more room in the middle, as the outside seats were set further in from the doors, but I foolishly forgot my tape measure, so don't have the numbers to compare.

Is this Tyre pressure loss screen normal?
meltemi replied to meltemi's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Good to know, thanks. Sorry it’s in the wrong forum section, I’m not sure if it was fat fingers or temporary brain fade (we were looking at Superbs too). -
Is the Tyre Pressure Loss Indicator Working? 2017 Octavia, I originally thought it was telling me to check the tyre pressures and press "Set". Which I did. But it still says the same thing. But in the manual it shows it looking like this with tyres in grey (OK) or amber (warning) and no message saying "When all 4 tyre pressures have been checked ..." Seems odd that there is no obvious confirmation that this system is functional or known not to be functional.

Thanks for the reply. Definitely useful to know that the coverage from the generic tools is not great. I am inclined to think (hope ) that VCDS might be overkill (£430 as don't want to be tied to having a Windows laptop) for me, as a non-enthusiast and we can just eat a few £100 diagnostic fees. On the other hand, there's a 2 week wait even for that at local garages My Dad has a Foxwell NT520 Opel/Vauxhall version, so in the mean time I might plug that in and see if there are any clues.

Hello, I have always done basic maintenance to my vehicles, and liked to think I have some idea what is going on, but the Octavia is a significant step up in sophistication over anything I've owned before. I've been trying to work out what diagnostic tool I need to: figure out what is wrong with parkpilot / parking assist on our new-to-us Octavia see if there's any reason why cruise control doesn't appear to engage be generally useful to have for other problems that crop up I don't have any interest in modifying the car or enabling extra features and I don't want to buy anything that risks damaging the car or is a knock off of more expensive software. Can I achieve the above with a generic OBD 2 reader from amazon or Eurocarparts? I've read through the pinned topics, but these seem to be aimed at more knowledgeable folk than me - I don't understand what is meant by "coding" for instance - is it reading fault codes or inputting them to make mods / changing stuff after replacing parts?
