  1. I saw couple of discussions, but the OP information is always a bit vague hence the discussion goes around suggestion to why the issue would be present. So, I am starting my own My car, which is brand new, make Feb 2024, 2.0 TSI 280hp, always idles at 1000rpm. This is in D. When I switch to P or N, it does lower them to the normal 800rpm. I do use Start/Stop, but on the rare occasions when it does not engage (or I disengage it with light tap on the brake), it always stays at 1000rpm. When I stop SS, it does it as well. It is not related to the engine being cold/warm, does not change if the AC is on or off, if the music is loud or not. Does not change if in Normal Mode, or Comfort, or even ECO. It does not change whether Auto-Hold is on or off. Or if I pressed the brake pedal light, medium or really hard. is this the normal behavior or it is something related to the car being brand new and the break-in period? It is not VERY annoying, since I don't mind Start/Stop and 0rpm is better than 800rpm, but I still find it very annoying how the "silent petrol engine" vibrates more than my old diesel engine, because it is always a little revved up.
  2. None of these The band Dream Theater have a song called "The count of Tuscany", which is a very favorite one of mine I do agree. I am very educated and cautious driver so there is not way I will relay on a system without having all of my attention on the road. Even when I am in a public transport, I bite my nails because I don't have control of the vehicle
  3. Awesome info so far! I have mine on order, but am gathering info while I wait so I can set the proper expectations.
  4. Thank you for the input. So, it does not start to accelerate while still behind the car, when I turn on the blinker? Assuming I have checked and there is not car behind me? Based on internet discussions I was under the impression that most modern cars assist when accelerating as part of ACC. My current car has a huge "hanging" time when I switch the lane.
  5. How does ACC handles overtaking? Say I've set it to 120km/h in the right lane and the car in front lowers it's speed to 80km/h. How do I overtake with ACC? On my current car, Insignia A, I have ACC and I don't use it because when I want to overtake, when I move to the left line, it take forever to accelerate. Does Superb act smarter or not? I've seen Kia having smart ACC, when you press the blinker, it starts to accelerate.
