  1. One problem (that I'm aware off) that I still have is that when I brake, the car "vibrates" a lot. It even does it when cruise control is ON and the car slows down by itself. I don't think it's the brake pads and rotors as I already told it to the dealer when the car was 60000 km and after they changed both it was still doing it. Car is now 106000km and I had the feeling it was worse. FWIW, I don't bake hard and/or much, mainly do highway trips, go with the flow and use engine brake whenever it's possible. Anyone has the same issue? Edit: sorry I see that it's not the right topic to talk about that.
  2. Ok, back from ski vacation this evening => update done without any issue. Still, I put a battery charger on, just to be on the safe side. Took a while, there were a bunch of languages to update too. I've finally been able to register as primary user and to Skoda connect, to see that the services were past due since 13/01/2022 🤣 Sure now I'm gonna pay for something that should have worked since day one... (nice try Skoda 🙄) Car seems to be applying an OTA update. Should I see something different than 1941 once it's finished? or maybe just some minor update without versioning? Thanks a lot for all the help. I hope I'll finally enjoy the no more crappy infotainment...
  3. Yes, I read that. thanks 😉
  4. Thanks for all the precious help. 1941 downloaded, unzipped and placed on ssd drive Just plugged it and checked that the update function in the maintenance mode saw it on the drive, which is the case. Just need to put a battery charger and press update But I'll do it after the ski vacation. It's surely not the time to brick the car with the holiday starting next Friday But damn, being a geek, it's hard not to do it right away 😆
  5. But of course first question I should ask is "Can I update from 1806 to 1941 directly? 😬"
  6. Could I have access to the link? Thanks, Laurent
  7. @SkOmk4: Thanks, I'll go to the dealer. Forget my ignorance, but what does TPI means (i know threads per inch for the tires but that's not it 😅)
  8. Hi everyone, First post here so a small introduction first. Laurent, from Belgium (the coma matters, I'm in no way related to the prince Laurent from Belgium, and I rather not be :D) Skoda driver since about 11 years, and my last one, Octavia Combi MK4 (october 2020) 2.0 150 TDI (or is it DCI?), is the worst I've ever had. As everyone one here, I'm experiencing lots (LOTS) of issues with infotainment. I mainly use carplay and at first thought that it was buggy (in general), only to realize driving other cars, that it works much better in other cars. As for the bugs, I'll take a list I found on another post here 1. Reboots once or twice (Usually at start of journey). => I DO 2. Double pop noise from the dashboard (every journey). => I DO 3. SOS unit becoming non functioning / going "offline" (virtually every journey) => Never looked 4. SAT Nav randomly goes haywire offsetting position of vehicle by 100 - 300 metres approximately for duration of journey - applies to built in Sat Nav and also Carplay Tom Tom Go. Required forced reboot (On occasion). => I DO 5. Unable to become Primary User (Constant). => I DO 6. Settings taking a long time to load or fail to load completely requiring forced reboot (Periodically). => I DO 7. Sometime system hangs completely and solution seems to be holding SOS button in for over a minute which seems to force a reboot (Occasionally). => Long press on power button usually works. For point 4, i found a turnaround, much quicker. I press for example on the Clim (physical button) twice First to show the clim screen and a second time to go back to where I was before (Carplay) => the offset is gone immediately. Try it, it works Still, I'm surely not happy with my car and my dealer doesn't seem to care about updating the car. Version is 1806 HW H56 Navigation is 19.7 It goes without saying that OTA updates never worked on my car... Is there a guide on how to update it myself? I'm not too afraid with computers (work in IT and cars are more and more like computers) and I'm willing to give it a try. Could someone PM the links and procedure? Thanks beforehand, Laurent
