  1. Just fitted mines a couples of minutes ago. They look great and took just a couple of minutes. Got them on Climair: http://www.climairuk.com/product.php?productid=2709&cat=0&page=1 Jeff
  2. Yup. Thanks. What about a new intake and filter? Should I change the exhaust too?
  3. is coming back!

  4. Hello, sorry for the delay. Yes I am in Colombia =)

  5. Hello, from the pics on one of your posts, I assume you are on Colombia too. I also own a Roomster and maybe if you still own yours we can chat here on the forums. Saludos!

  6. I understand that this can be done on Diesel models only... am I right?
  7. Mine is a strange mix of every spec available... have maxi dot, but not the boot covers... disc brakes front and rear but not cornering fog light... ESP+ABS+ all the stuff but not panoramic sunroof... climatronic but not seat belt reminder for passenger... tyre pressure monitoring but not parking sensors, etc, etc etc.
  8. I live in South America, so can't go...
  9. I finally did it, must admit it was painful. I tried the first time using my fingers as Irfant suggested but besides thin fingers you also need very strong fingerpads. I actually reached the bulb holder but failed at pulling it. Second time I used pliers. What worked for me was holding the pliers with one hand while directing its arms with one finger (from the other hand) through the bulb holder, once in position open the pliers arms, grip the bulb holder and pulling out. It took me near 90 minutes to change both sidelights. What to consider: 1. Do not use very long pliers (See the pic) medium size is ok, even small ones could help. 2. It was easier at the driver's side (L/H), but on the passenger's side its a different story because you have very limited space to work, because of the charcoal filter. So I had to remove the filter and also the parking light because of wiring (you are doing it blind and you have many wires that can be damaged). Small pliers are useful particularly on this side. Good luck! Jeff
  10. I will try tomorrow... and let you know. I will post pictures of my hands before and after! Jeff
  11. Well, it seems that is not an easy task. I am about to change my bulbs to PIAA's Xtreme White Plus (headlights and fog lights) and it would be interesting if someone can post pictures of the process. I certainly do not have thin fingers :/ Jeff
  12. Hello, surfing on the Internet I found this Roomster review made recently by a reporter in Canada (Skoda sponsored a World Hockey Championship and took some cars there). http://www.auto123.com/en/car-reviews/new/2008-skoda-roomster-scout-review?model=ROOMSTER&artid=97615&pg=1 The conclusion of the review is: === "The 2008 Skoda Roomster Scout offers little value to Canadians. Sure, the lines are attractive, but that's about it. The sheer lack of power is a huge handicap, while the suspension is utterly disappointing. Moreover, reliability is an issue." === In my opinion this is not fair, this the only bad review on the Roomster that I have find... probably he tested a faulty car? Any thoughts? Jeff
  13. Hello, I post this question on the Sale/Wanted forum, but probably here I can get better results... My local Skoda service wants to charge me USD 600 for each projector headlight. I think this is VERY excessive. If some has any guidance or information where I can get these, it will be appreciated. Many thanks Jeff
  14. Good, many thanks irfant. Fortunately we are left hand drivers
  15. Hello all, I am wondering where can I get halogen projector headlights for the Roomster (not the curve ones). I am not considering xenons because of price, just want to upgrade my original headlights. I looked at superskoda.com (thanks irfant) but did not find this specific product for Roomster, also google(d) it and nothing came up. A picture of my roomy's conventional headlights here: http://briskoda.net/forums/attachments/22162d1213328283-roomy1.jpg Thanks! Jeff
