Hello I have taken on my mum’s 2010 1.2 DSG Fabia hatch - when she owned it, it would occasionally refuse to start when the engine was warm, this was usually after she had driven a few miles and had left it for an hour or two. When I was driving it for the first time there was a sudden loss of power and the EPC light came on. Our local garage identified a misfire and replaced the coil pack, HT leads and spark plugs. All good until a couple of days ago when the warm starting problem flared up again. Same scenario: I drive the car for a few miles, leave it for 60-90 minutes, go to start it again, the engine catches, goes for around a second, cuts out and then it won’t start. Leave it for about 30 minutes, it starts with a bit of difficulty, and once it is going is fine. I have noticed a slight smell of fuel when it finally starts. A couple of garages have had a look at it while my mum owned it but could find nothing wrong with it - so just wondering if anyone has had previous experience of this issue and if so what the solution might be, or if you have any recommendations for specialist Skoda workshops in the Bristol area. Many thanks.
