SKODA Karoq - Retrofitting a rear-view (reverse) camera
This looks great, and actually cheaper based on the reported price. Mine had only a low resolution camera and lines that do not move, no sensors, no additional markings.

SKODA Karoq - Retrofitting a rear-view (reverse) camera
It was finally possible to do it at the official dealership. The cost was 684 euros in Greece. I think that was too high. Thanks anyone for their answers.

SKODA Karoq - Retrofitting a rear-view (reverse) camera
Another update, the shop said they could retrofit a rearview camera to the Karoq. They tried, but it did not work. Apparently they could not "activate" the proper functionality to show the camera to the screen.

SKODA Karoq - Retrofitting a rear-view (reverse) camera
A new development is the following: I visited a local store and they removed the SD Card reader, took a photo of the top where there are some stickers and then put it back again. They said they will call me back when they know compatibility and price but I have not received heard back from them since more than a week.

SKODA Karoq - Retrofitting a rear-view (reverse) camera
Thanks for the answers. The most weird part is that from those that do ask for the VIN some claim that it is totally doable, while some claim that it is completely impossible with my version of the infotainment system (SWING).

SKODA Karoq - Retrofitting a rear-view (reverse) camera
Greetings! I am searching for information on how and if it is possible to install/retrofit a rear-vew (reverse) camera in a SKODA Karoq. I would like to have the camera fitted in the boot-space door handle and shown in the original infotainment car screen. The SKODA Karoq is Ambition 1600TDIA version 7/8/2019 and it has the Standard (GEN2 GP) infotainment system. The version and infotainment information was retrieved via the VIN number through this site: https://compatibilitylist.skoda-auto.com/ The car has not a rear view camera nor parking sensors. The multimedia equipment has only an SD card. Here is the information I have until now: 1. There are some online shops offering a rear view camera, not specifying if it is possible or not to install a a rear-view camera in the particular Skoda Karoq. 2. After asking some stores I got some answers that claim that it is not possible to install a rear-view camera since the car's main-unit does not have an input for a rear view cam. They have not seen the car, the only get this information from the VIN. 3. Some stores say that it is possible to install a rear-view camera but an additional component (Adaptor of some short) will be needed for this car. Again, they have not seen the car, the only get this information from the VIN. I would like to understand if it is actually possible or not to install a rear-view camera and what exactly is needed to buy. How can one determine if an adapter is needed for this car and what is this extra adapter? Any help is welcome here.
