  1. Hi , I had a Mercedes until recently and my areas of expertise are on C207 models that are a E class coupe. My car was a 2016 plate. C class cars suffer can suffer from the same problem. Rear sub frame failure through rust. I had my car inspected two years ago and the subframe appeared to be fine. My car had covered a low mileage and was serviced by Mercedes and hardly used in the winter. The problem is that are rear subframes fail through rust from the inside out. I am hopefully purchasing a Skoda Superb and I must say I was really impressed with the fit and finish and general build quality. Know doubt many other owners where sceptical regarding Skoda ( Badge snobbery ) but the Superb is Superb.

Hi , I would like to introduce to the forum , I am an old guy who loves driving and had a real shock on the M5 last week. I don't think it's fair to the car manufacture but I was driving on those terrible Intelligent Motorway , ( no shoulder ) and my car ended up travelling down the safety barrier through a component failure. I do hope that the car is written off but you never know. The reason I am seriously looking at Skoda products because my mate has four of the brand ! I am really keen to acquire a Superb Estate car and would be great full on any points of concern on any particular model.I would prefer a petrol engine with an automatic transmission but I saw a 6 cylinder engine but the RFL frightened me. Looks like a 4 pot but I only now drive 4000 miles per year. Are there many specialist Skoda sales companies in the UK. I don't mind traveling. My spending limit will be what I receive from the Insurance Company for my bashed up car. Any comments will be greatly appreciated and I always put back comment into the forum and not vanish.
