Removing an unknown stain from Tulip Black paintwork. HELP!
Hi everyone, I’ve had a stain about the size of a coin on my car’s bodywork for around a year now. It hasn’t come off during washes, and I suspect it might be old tree sap, glue, or something similar—probably something that fell from a tree or a balcony. Anyway, I’m looking for a chemical solution that can effectively remove it without damaging my car’s paintwork, which is in Tulip Black, a highly delicate colour. Has anyone tried something that worked and can recommend it? Thanks in advance!

Boot Lid Doesn’t Open Smoothly: is this normal?
I bought a compatible replacement, but it didn’t make much of a difference. The boot lid lifted faster, but with too much force - so much so that it bounced at the top. I ended up returning them and reinstalling the original ones. I bought the car with less than 80 km on the clock and not even six months old, so it was practically new. However, I’ve never lubricated the struts. It might make sense to do so, but to me, the issue seems more fundamental. I used to have a Fiat Punto years ago, and with that, I only had to lift the boot slightly, and it would shoot up effortlessly on its own.

Boot Lid Doesn’t Open Smoothly: is this normal?
Hi everyone, I’ve been the owner of a Skoda Scala for four years now. I’ve never been particularly thrilled with the force required to open the boot, but I’ve managed to live with it. However, after all these years, it now feels quite odd that, halfway through opening, I still have to push it up manually to fully open the hatch. With my previous cars, I never had this issue - lifting it about 30 centimetres was enough for it to open on its own. Has anyone else experienced this? I’m asking other owners. Thanks!

What should I do now with the Data Plug?
Good morning! Since the Skoda Connect Lite app will soon be discontinued, what should I do with the Data Plug? Should I just throw it away, or can it be used for something else? Please don't say paperweight because it's too light... 🥲

Continental EcoContact 6 Installation and Its Savings
Good morning, I'd like to know if anyone has installed Continental EcoContact 6 tyres and noticed an actual increase in mileage. If so, by what percentage compared to before? It's just out of curiosity, as I'm considering this upgrade for my Škoda Scala G-TEC and would like to manage my expectations. Thank you!

Discontinuation of the Škoda Connect Lite app and its Data Plug
Good morning, I'm sure some of you have already received Škoda's farewell message regarding the closure of the Connect Lite app. I'd like to quote a passage: "We must inform you of the significant decision that from 1 July 2025, Skoda Connect LITE will be discontinued. After this date, the service will no longer be available and the application will be deactivated". I'm naturally disappointed that the app is being removed, especially since I spent around 50 euros on that Data Plug that fits under the steering wheel, which will now just be a paperweight. However, I'm particularly saddened because over the years, I have compiled a detailed record of fuel refills and kilometres driven per fill-up (in my case, CNG). Connect Lite also managed to provide a precise report on every journey made, which is quite useful when travelling. So, my first question is: how can I export all this data to avoid losing it, and perhaps import it elsewhere? And where might 'elsewhere' be? I know there are many apps that allow you to record your petrol, diesel, or LPG refills, but from my direct experience - having tried a couple in the past - there has always been a lack of support for methane (CNG). What disappoints me most about the message from the manufacturer, however, is that no alternative solutions are provided. The app also never managed to reach its full potential. For example, although Connect Lite could potentially detect the smartphone's location via GPS, when recording the refuelling location, one had to manually enter the street and the name of the refuelling station (unless one had the navigator directly on board). What do you all think? I'll leave a few screenshots of the app, useful for future reference.

Software Update available for Bolero?
Can I leave the car running during the process? Just to avoid dealing with the external charge hassle.

Software Update available for Bolero?
Do you happen to know where I can find these two updates?

Software Update available for Bolero?
I've already tried going down this route, but they bombarded me with nonsense. Stuff like insisting I need to go there in person to understand what kind of update I can install. Even though I sent them all the necessary screenshots, ridiculous! Anyway, thanks a bunch for the specs. Highly appreciated! Can you tell me if there's anything else to do after the update? Are there any drawbacks? Will the connection with the dealership still work? And, will the software keep functioning in my language?

Software Update available for Bolero?
I take this opportunity to ask another thing. It seems like it's impossible to find a changelog for every version of the updates. Why is that? For those who may not know, in the realm of computing, a changelog is a list of all the changes made with the discussed update. It's usually a lengthy list of fixes.

Software Update available for Bolero?
Sorry, but how do I figure out which is the latest update suitable for my case? Is there an official summary? Because I read that some with my same MIB3_V1 are advised to update to later versions. While you tell me that the final version for my Bolero is 741 + 742. Sorry, it's not a lack of trust, it's just really confusing... 😦 I'd like to ask another thing while I'm at it. Once the update is done, is there anything else I need to do? Because I heard it's necessary to perform an activation via the Internet to align the car with the Skoda central system. But is that true? And if I happen to encounter an issue with the update, is it possible to revert to the old version?

Emergency call restricted message?
I've also been experiencing this issue for the past 3 years. It happens at most 5 times a year. Interestingly, every time it happens, I notice that the Internet icon on Bolero turns grey. So, I simply think it's just a matter of disconnection from the eSIM. Usually, turning it off and then back on is enough to see the problem resolved. I've never gone to the dealership to investigate the root cause of the problem.

Software Update available for Bolero?
Hey everyone, I've been trying to stay on top of the updates for my 2020 Skoda Scala G-TEC with Bolero, and I've come across information suggesting that version 0469 might be the latest one. Can anyone confirm this for me? It seems like there's a lot of information floating around, but when I check in my local community, it appears that 0469 is the most recent update available. Just to give you some context, I currently have the MEN3_EU_SK370_9494P version installed with 0464. Now, I've been experiencing some issues like the Bolero display not turning on correctly, sometimes getting stuck with the Skoda logo. To resolve this, I usually have to turn the system off and on again. Another problem involves the GPS signal loss on my iPhone when connected via CarPlay, which usually gets fixed by disconnecting the smartphone. Occasionally, I've also had the reverse screen persisting during regular driving. Any insights or experiences you can share on these issues or the latest update would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot.
