  1. Thanks, I took it to a mechanic and he checked all the hoses and things to do with the turbo and all good. No leaks, no faulty valves or whatever (can you tell I am not mechanically literate?) Reckons it's just the noise the turbo makes now and nothing to worry about.
  2. Hello all, A loud whistling kind of noise upon accelerating has just started. It isn't there when idling and it stops when the accelerator peddle is released. We noticed this on the first long drive out since the car had it's EGR valve and also and oxygen sensor replaced (which was a pretty expensive repair!). I would say it was only about 200 to 300 km after the repair (done just before Christmas). The car has done about 120k km overall. It had it's timing belt and water pump replacement at about 110k km. Any ideas what this could be, before taking it to the mechanic? I'd like to have some idea before just blindly accepting what they say and potentially forking out hundreds of dollars more. Thanks.
  3. Hello. Have had our 2014 Superb Outdoors wagon (should probably say "combi") since 2015. Often visited this site over the years when googling some issue or another but finally thought I might as well register! This is the longest I've ever owned a car for, so getting into the sticky stuff lately as far as maintenance goes. Being a European car in Australia, it was never going to be cheap to maintain but it has been reliable and a great driver so far.
