Fixed - I think! Looks like it was the filter. We ended up buying the exact same one as what was on there previously - a Mann w712/94. We've now driven about 100 miles with no issues or warning light. The Bosch filter that was causing issues had the same number as the one in the post @Rootedlinked to but was black not silver. Would that have been a factor?

The number on the filter is F026 407 183 and it's black rather than silver like the previous filter I removed.

I recently changed the oil and filter on my Fabia 1.2tsi 2011 model (petrol). Since the change I now get an intermittent red flashing oil light (with alarm for first few flashes) after driving it a few miles. Sometimes it flashes a few times, at other times it flashes for 30 seconds or a minute. Sometimes it comes back on after a minute or so, other a few minutes later. It never stays on longer than a minute or so. It usually goes away if I stop and restart the engine and only comes on after around four or five miles of driving. Engine sounds fine and oil levels are fine. No problems with performance. Filter is on firmly and I have checked the washer from the previous filter was removed OK. Haven't been able to take an oil pressure reading yet. The oil I used is 5W30 Filter is Bosch 50144067
