  1. Thanks everyone for your replies to reply to ukcruiser There is an unopened disc in the glove compartment that I suspect from the wording it is a European up grade, I am reluctant to put the disc in just in case it causes a problem. Thanks again for your help.
  2. Yes I know I must be really stupid......please no Confirmation needed. Let me explain. I have been reading on this forum about how easy it is to upgrade my Columbus sat nav to accept 7 digit postcodes. My car is Feb 2011 registered Superb Combi in Elegance trim CR170. So, I visited the supplying dealer (Michells of Chester) and asked about the upgrade. They offered to load the software free of charge but offered the disc at £150.00 I don't want to appear to be complaining but could some wise soul explain. Am I completly getting the wrong end of the stick, am I asking the wrong question of Mitchells, any advise would be very welcome. Thanks Roy
  3. Thanks Ray, the thread answers a lot of questions
  4. In my view purchasing a car is a complete experience not just at point of purchase but for the life you own the car. That is why I asked if anyone had had any dealings with the company even among Skoda dealers there are good and bad. If it was just about cost I suppose we should all purchase from the likes of Carquake and other such internet based companies. Thank you for your comments and point of view.
  5. I am thinking of purchasing a Superb 2 from Palmers Skoda of Watford. Anyone had dealings good or bad any info would be very welcome
  6. Thanks once again for all the useful comments and advise. Would you believe it( Meldrew style) got up this morning checked the lights and yes you guessed they were working fine!!!!!!!!! we will wait and see if the continue to do so. Cheers
  7. The car is 3 year old in May 2010 and just coming up to 25,000 miles
  8. Driving into Chester tonight the nearside front dip beam flickered and then went out with a "warning light failure" message coming on. The car is 2 years old and is fitted with xenon lights........is this an item that would be replaced under warranty.
  9. It never fails to amaze me the kindness people show on this site, the trouble they go to to explain and give you the benefit of their knowledge........Thank you all very much. Supurbia, I couldn't agree more with your comments, over the last few weeks we have looked at a number of cars...to many to list...but when we get back into ours we say the same thing after all the test drives. The Superb takes a lot of beating, thats why we have decided to replace it with another one, but I also take on board your comments re-the seats in the Superb 2. Thanks
  10. Sorry, you are right. I will check with the dealer. Thank you
  11. I have had various quotes ranging from 8500 to 9250 so I am prepared and to be honest it is worth what it is worth no amount of getting upset will change that, looking at the figures the depreciation is about £87.00 a week over two years. Can you explain what you mean by "block it" Thanks
  12. Again your help is very much appreciated, but all the cars have dark interiors and we require cream interior. Thanks again
  13. I am really grateful for the replies, but the cars listed all have dark interiors and my spec is for cream leather. Thank you
  14. yes we have tried that, simply tried everywhere :thumbdwn:
  15. I have been looking for a pre-reg (or at least not more than 12 months old) Superb. Black or red in elegance spec. DSG with 170bhp engine and cream leather interior. can a find one. Can I eck!!!!! It is being said there are none in the country....unless of course someone knows differently. I wonder if all the BMW and Merc owners have discovered what us Skoda owners have known for years. Any help or guidence would be most welcome. Cheers Roy and Val
