We are close to settling on an Enyaq as our first EV. It will have to be a used 60 for our budget. We will have to go for higher mileage or age to get any add ins of course. It’s really hard to sift through used ads to find the add ones that we think we need, and are wondering what others see as essential. Our current thoughts are the Parking Pack (front sensors and rear camera as we’ve read somewhere that visibility isn’t great for parking), the pack that gives heated seats (comfort pack?), and ideally the pack that gives drivers’ seat memory function as we have very different driving positions). I’m wondering what Enyaq owners see as essential, anything they got but now think was a waste of money, and anything they wish they’d got.

From a quick glance at these documents it seems that any 3 year old car will be out of warranty, and in any case the transfer of warranty only applies to private individuals and not to cars owned by a business. The info is really useful - it makes me more cautious. 10 years ago we bought an ex hire Passat estate with high mileage at an excellent - but it was a diesel. We didn't have too many concerns as the sale was from a very reputable dealer. Any we've had 10 years of hassle free ownership. We just think that a petrol engined PHEV might not be such a safe buy unless we know something of its history.

We are hoping to buy an Octavia iV PHEV estate and have seen that one of the big sales companies has a number of three-ish year old cars listed that are described as 'business or hire cars that may have been driven by more than one person'. One of the cars has the plug in cables still in boxes in its boot - suggesting that the battery might never have been charged. What might this mean in terms of the battery life? Is it important that batteries are charged regularly throughout a car's life? We've read that batteries can degenerate if not treated well. Any wisdom out there? Thanks.
