I finally got mine replaced under warranty 2 weeks ago. I had to kick off and email Skoda Australia to complain about the dealer not replacing it under warranty. Surprisingly they ordered the part straight away once Skoda Aus got in touch with them.

Hi, Does anyone what the magic words you need to say to get the dealer to replace the display unit?? I'm having no luck and have started a formal complaint with Skoda Australia about the dealer refusing to replace the faulty display unit under warranty.

Hey, So the car went in, they had it for 3 full days. Lots of talking to Skoda technical? Basically they have reset the MIB, updated the software again. And then went through a heap of configuration changes related to how the MIB interfaces with the volume controls. Now its a case of wait and see if it faults again.

Hey, My car does it about every 2 months, then everyday for 4 or 5 days. Then its fine again for a couple of months!! its flipping bizarre. I've taken it into the dealership, who actually experienced it doing the fault. They did a software update and said it was fixed. Faulted again the next day. Its due to go in again end of next week. They have to have the car for a couple of days, as they have to get in touch with Skoda Europe while they have the car (I'm in Australia) They did mention entire replacement of touchscreen display unit, but honestly i think they have no idea. Ill update after its been back at the dealer.

Hey, Did anyone get a fix for this??? Mine has started doing it and it's driving me nuts.
